Pick-up review
The Grom version is used for the KTM390DUKE.
USAGE
Since we often ride the 390DUKE on the highway, we decided to install a shield to withstand wind pressure.
IMAGE RECEIVED
I judged whether or not the shape of the shield could be installed on DUKE just by looking at the pictures of the product on Webike, but I was right. When I looked at the shield from the front, the lower left and right sides of the shield are curved inward, so the shield is not covered by the front blinker.
INSTALLATION
The basic installation method was the same as when installing the screen on the Grom.
However, since it was necessary to install the screen closer to the rear of the vehicle, we used KITACO's mirror adapter set 8mm regular screw (part number MA-12) and shifted the entire screen backward for installation.
Since this product does not come with screen molding, I separately purchased MRA's screen molding set (part number MRA-2) and installed it.
However, the length of this screen molding is 1 meter, so it could not cover the entire circumference of the shield.
REVIEW AFTER USING
Even when cruising at 100 km/h on the highway, I was never directly exposed to wind pressure, so it was extremely comfortable. The shield did not vibrate violently due to wind pressure.
Since the shield does not cover the front blinkers, the light emitted from the blinkers does not reflect off the shield. However, there is a white LED position light on the outer circumference of the DUKE's headlight that is always on, and this light emits at an upward angle, so the light reflects off the lower part of the shield, making it a little dazzling at night. I am thinking of painting the inside of the lower part of the shield matte black in the future.

At first glance, you may think that it is a special optional part, but the screen fits 390DUKE perfectly. However, it is surprising to know that this screen was made by Daytona for Honda GROM. Although the quality of parts made by domestic manufacturers can be said to be reliable, there are not many parts that can be adapted to foreign car models.
However, if the screen is not installed specially, it can be installed without special parts.
Of course, use is at your own risk, and following the supplied parts and instructions will not work. As Mr. Fanta in this impression says, you will need to be creative when using the mirror adapter, and you will also need to purchase additional parts such as mirror adapters. However, it is not easy to think, "How can I install this part? This is a fun way to challenge yourself to create an original style that other riders have not tried.
Rather than lamenting that there are no motorcycle model-specific parts available, why don't you all look for parts that you can use and build your own machine!
