BULL DOCK's ZEPHYR750
Bull Dock's GT-M (Genuine Tuning Machine) is a complete custom menu based on an air-cooled Z with high-level modern specs. One might expect this bike to also be a Z, but it is a Zephyr750. Mr. Wakui, the shop's owner, says, "There are a small number of requests for complete Zephyr 1100s and 750s. This bike has an 810cc engine with Yoshimura ST-1 camshafts. The frame has also been reviewed, slightly reinforced, and diamond coated. The suspension is Ohlins on both front and rear, the swingarm is our own Mccoy, and the wheels are forged Lavorante Leggendas. The fuel tank and side covers are from Doremi Collection."
The configuration and tuning are certainly in the GT-M style. However, the unique characteristics of the Zephyr 1100/750 were taken into consideration. "In the case of the Zephyr, it's challenging because the bike is not new but not too old. Even if you want to modify it, there are no custom parts available. The parts that used to be made are no longer in production. So, for this bike, we modified our Z swingarm to fit the Zephyr. The lower half of the engine also needs to be thoroughly reviewed, and the same goes for the frame. With the Z, you can freely choose parts and specifications, but it's important to know that doesn't apply to the Zephyr." In order to help with these parts, Bull Dock has added a new Titanium Full Exhaust for the Zephyr 750 to their lineup, which is also installed on this bike. New parts are effective for both customization and performance improvement/maintenance.
Handle
Ohlins RWU forks clamped by BULL DOCK Mccoy φ43 Stem Kit. The front master is a Brembo RCS, the clutch holder is a Kohken, and the lever is an Aero Lever, also from Kohken.
Electrical
For the gauges, a Yoshimura Progress Meter and PROTEC Shift Indicator were added.
Bodyworks
A Doremi Collection Z2 Type Steel Tank Set is used for the fuel tank and side covers.
The seat is a Mccoy Supreme Seat. The tail cowl is a stock Zephyr 750, maintaining the overall balance of a modern 17-inch model.
Engine
The engine is converted to 810cc with Wiseco Forged Pistons and set with a Yoshimura ST-1 Camshaft.
The carburetor is an FCR φ35mm with Yoshimura Dual Stack Funnels. The frame was slightly reinforced and given a diamond-coat finish.
Intake & Exhaust
The exhaust is Bull Dock's new Win Mccoy Titanium Full Exhaust System for Zephyr 750, with an internal 4-2-1 configuration with a 4-1 look.
Chassis
The front forks are Ohlins RWU with 2mm larger diameter than the stock φ41mm. The front brakes are Brembo Axial 4P Calipers and Sunstar Premium Racing Discs, and the front fenders are converted to carbon.
The rear brakes are Brembo 2P Caliper + Sunstar Premium Racing Disc. The front and rear wheels are Lavorante Leggenda 3.50-17/5.50-17 replacing the previous 3.00-17/4.00-17 sizes.
The rear shock is an Ohlins Legend Twin, and the swingarm is a Mccoy Aluminum Swingarm for the Z.
