BrightLogic's GSX-R1000

Modern motorcycles are perfected with each improvement, and there is no room for customization, whether for the body or the engine, when it comes to street use. This is even more true for supersport bikes such as this Suzuki GSX-R1000. However, Mr. Takenaka, a representative of BrightLogic, says, "Actually, that's not quite true. The perfection of the production model itself has certainly improved, yet there is still room for modifications. This bike has been lightly customized, but we have tried to fill in that room." The store handles many new supersport models, as well as vintage and oil-cooled models such as the GS1000/750 and the Katana.

"The base is an '06 GSX-R1000, which is compact, light to begin with, and has good engine characteristics. Still, we can make it even better. For example, the controls. For this bike, we replaced the front master with a Brembo radial and changed the levers, and the clutch is now hydraulic as well. This makes both left and right-hand operation lighter, and the touch is better. So the things that were originally good come out more clearly. Light is right, so we'll make it even lighter. The exhaust system is a slip-on which is lighter, and the mass is concentrated at the end which makes it easier to handle. The mirrors are made to come out from the cowl bracket on the back to reduce shaking. There are some dress-up parts installed, but that's up to you," says Mr. Takenaka. Handle

Mirrors are repositioned from the front of the cowl to the cowl brackets. The Carbon Monocoque Mirrors and Carbon Trimmed Windshield are by Magical Racing. The clutch side drive has been converted from wire to hydraulic, and a Brembo master is installed.

Functional changes are concentrated in the cockpit, where the front master is now a Brembo Radial instead of a Nissin, and an Ohlins Steering Damper is also installed.

Bodyworks

A carbon side panel is also equipped on the underside of the fuel tank. It seems that the owner has balanced the look with other carbon parts.

The seat is stock, but has a slim profile and sufficient wall thickness for the needs of the rider. A single seat cover is installed on the pillion side.

Engine

The φ73.4 x 59mm/999cc engine and φ44mm bore throttle remain stock, and maps are added with the addition of Yoshimura EM Pro (it is also possible to switch to the standard state).

Chassis

The steps are BabyFace 4-position in black color. Along with the front brake/clutch, the controls have been modified to improve touch and position.

Due to the characteristics of the machine, it is also equipped with an auto shifter. As can be seen in the main photo, Nexray brand dry carbon covers are installed on the left and right sides of the case.

The DLC coated front forks remain stock as is. The brake hoses are stainless steel mesh + black tubing, which is made to look like stock.

The rear inner fenders are Cleverwolf carbon, and sprockets are X.A.M. The 3-spoke 3.50-17/6.00-17 size wheels are also stock.

The exhaust system is equipped with Yoshimura's Slip-On Carbon.
