Suzuki's big adventure V-STROM 800DE (V-Strom 800DE) is now available for the 2024 model year. The only changes this time are color changes, with the introduction of new white and green metallic. The new model will be available in a total of three colors, replacing the previous black and gray.
The Japan release date is Thursday, February 22, and the price remains unchanged at (approx.) 8780 USD.
The latest in the V-Strom series gets a makeover
The VSTROME 800DE, to be unveiled simultaneously with the GSX-8S sports naked in the fall of 2022, will be powered by the same 775cc DOHC parallel twin-cylinder engine, which is equipped with a newly designed Suzuki cross balancer for the first time on a mass production model, The engine, equipped with a newly designed Suzuki cross balancer for the first time in a mass-produced vehicle, delivers 60 kW (82 PS) at 8,500 rpm. To optimize this powerful yet lightweight power unit for off-road use, 21-inch wheels are fitted up front, and the adjustable front and rear suspension has the longest stroke in the V-Strom series at 220 mm. In terms of electronic control, the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) is shared with the GSX-8S, but another key feature is a dedicated traction control system with a G (gravel) mode. In 2023, the V-Strom 800, equipped with modified equipment for on-road use, will also be introduced. This is the latest model in the V-Strom series, which has a strong fan base as a multi-purpose tourer.
The VSTROM 800DE has undergone its first specification changes in the recently announced 2024 model year. The equipment and specifications remain the same, but the color variations have been renewed. Pearl Tech White and Matte Steel Green Metallic have been newly introduced, while Champion Yellow remains unchanged. The gray and black colors have been discontinued.
