As previously reported in the V-Strom 800 DE, the "DE" at the end of the name is said to come from "Dual Explorer." It is said to be a model that combines convenience from daily transportation to touring.
The series of styling with a front upper fender that resembles a beak is common to the same series, but the 1050 has a magnificent scale and can handle long touring comfortably.
The V-Strom 1050 has already been reported, but compared to that, the DE boasts an even more imposing body size.
The first crucial difference is that the front and rear wheels are spoke type instead of cast. Moreover, the front wheel diameter is a full-fledged size of 21 inches instead of 19 inches. The length of the suspension is different and the handlebar width is wider. As a result, the V-Strom 1050DE is 25 mm longer in length, 40 mm longer in wheelbase, and 20 mm wider than the 1050. The overall height, ground clearance, and seat height are also 35, 25, and 30 mm higher, respectively. The weight of the car has also increased by 10kg to 252kg, making the sense of volume particularly overwhelming.
