Based on the FZ250PHAZER, it has the form of a full-cowl replica!

In April 1985, Yamaha released the FZ250 FAZER.

It was a design that set it apart from its rivals, who were all on the racy track.

It was the first 250cc four-cylinder engine to have 16 valves (4 valves per cylinder), and the forward-leaning 45° Genesis engine had a maximum output of 45PS, which was generated at an amazing 14,500rpm, and the exhaust note had a truly metallic sound that could reach up to 16,000rpm, making it a very captivating engine.

The engine was based on the Genesis engine of the FZ250PHAZER. It already had the best performance in its class, and thanks to its long track record, it quickly became a top hit in its class.

The square-section steel pipe double cradle frame was also almost the same as the FZ250PHAZER, with only the accessory mounts changed. However, it incorporated aerodynamics modeled after racing machines, such as introducing the wind from the ride into the air cleaner.
