This time we will introduce the Kawasaki NINJA ZX-4RR KRT Edition!
With the end of production of the popular 4-cylinder 400cc model, the Honda CB400SF, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX series is now the only 4-cylinder model available for regular motorcycle licenses. The ZX-4R/RR, which debuted as the big brother of the ZX-25R, has evolved in a big way from the "old 4-cylinder 400cc" that was common in the 90s!
NINJA ZX-4RR KRT Features
With the end of production of the long-selling CB400SF model, the Ninja ZX-4R/RR became the only 4-cylinder model in the 400cc class. In the mid-80s to 90s, 4-cylinders were the norm for 400cc sports models, but modern sports motorcycles are dominated by 2-cylinder models that are simpler and more cost-effective than 4-cylinders.
The basic configuration of the ZX-4R/RR is almost identical to that of the 250cc version, the ZX-25R, and the only difference in appearance is whether the front brake is single or double. The size is also almost the same, and the dry weight of the 4R/RR is only 5kg heavier, which is very similar to the relationship between the Ninja 250 and 400. Still, there is a surprising difference between the two motorcycles.
The difference is in the power performance. In a nearly identical body, the hidden power is 1.6 times greater. Furthermore, while the 1999 model ZXR400, which has an "old 4-cylinder" engine, had 53ps, the ZX-4R/RR had 80ps at high rpm where the ram pressure is effective. That's 1.5 times more power.
