Motorcycle

The BMW R nineT, which was released in 2013, was a huge hit model that interpreted BMW Motorrad's traditional style in a modern way. The success of this neo-classic line that inherited BMW's legacy led to the creation of the larger displacement R18 series, strengthening the BMW Motorrad lineup. As a 2024 model, the R nineT will be fully remodeled to become the "R12 nineT", and a cruiser model called the "R12" will also be added to the lineup.

The legendary "R90S" is back in modern times

The R12 nineT is strongly influenced by BMW's legacy, and now a variation model that carries that legacy even more strongly has been announced. This new model, named the "R12S", is based on the "R90S", which was released in 1973 and boasted high specs at the time, with a maximum output of 63 PS and a top speed of 200 km/h. The R90S, designed by Hans A. Muth, the chief designer at the time, featured a handlebar fairing designed based on aerodynamics, a world first for a mass-produced motorcycle, and a red "90" emblem engraved on the engine.
