Honda's PCX160, the most popular scooter in Asia, attracted attention last year when it was announced overseas for the 2025 model, which had a completely new design and equipment.
And in January of this year, a new model that could be called a new member of the PCX family was released overseas. Its unique style, which seems to combine features with its sister model, the ADV160, is noteworthy.
A sedan PCX, a cross-country ADV, and an SUV style!?
Sundiro Honda, Shanghai, China, released the new 150cc scooter "NS150GX" in January. It is a joint venture with Honda, and in addition to producing parts for the Super Cub, it also produces unique models for China.
Although the NS150GX has a 150cc displacement, the details of its wheels, silencer, suspension, and other parts are identical to those of the PCX. Since it is an OEM production by Honda, it is safe to assume that the same parts are actually used. The front mask uses dual headlights like the PCX, but the lens design is completely different, and it is equipped with a separate pair of screens. The style is closer to the ADV160, with wide side fairings, etc.
In terms of functionality, it has been announced that the luxurious equipment is comparable to that of the latest model-changed PCX, including a multi-function keyless start system, dual charging ports, a TFT LCD meter, a smartphone linking system, tire pressure monitoring, dual channel ABS and TCS.

NS150GX (2025: Overseas) A new mid-size scooter released by Shin-Ozu Honda. It can be considered the third sibling of the PCX.

The 156cc "esp+" engine used in the PCX160 and ADV160 produces 16PS, and is believed to be the same as the NS150GX.

With dual headlights and a separate screen, it also gives off-taste impression.
The PCX160 and ADV160 are sibling models that are equipped with the same esp+ water-cooled single-cylinder engine and share many of the same designs. However, the PCX has a streamlined fairing and a comfortable suspension for paved roads, making it a comfortable ride. On the other hand, the ADV comes standard with block pattern tires and a high-performance suspension with a reservoir tank, giving it a wild character with a straight line. The PCX is like a sedan, and the ADV is like a cross-country vehicle.
So, if we take another look at the NS150GX, we can say that it is a sibling model with a new SUV style that combines the comfortable driving feeling of the PCX with the wild looks of the ADV. At this stage, it seems that it is only sold to China by Shin-Ozu Honda, but the company is also expanding globally to countries such as the Philippines and Indonesia, so we may be able to see it in various places. If it becomes popular in line with the recent SUV boom in the automotive industry, is there any possibility that it will be introduced in the Philippines. I'd like to keep an eye on the performance of the new PCX's third sibling model.

The underside of the NS150GX is almost the same as the PCX, but it is differentiated by its straight, sturdy fairing and screen.

PCX160 (2025: overseas) The new PCX has an improved headlight and a TFT LCD meter, but the NS150GX has also been announced to have the same equipment.

The front mask of the NS150GX. The panel layout is inspired by the ADV160, giving it an SUV-like style.

The front mask of the PCX160. It has a streamlined shape and an integrated windscreen, giving it an urban impression.

The ADV160 (2025) is an ADV with a strong off-road feel, but the NS150GX can be said to be positioned somewhere between it and the PCX.
