Salon du 2 Roues will mark a decade Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports promoting the FIM Endurance World Championship with a display of 10 motorcycles that have helped to make EWC history. The highly acclaimed motorcycle expo, held at the Parc Eurexpo Lyon east of the French city from 13-16 February, has joined forces with WBD Sports to highlight the EWC champions of the last 10 years and reignite some truly special memories. EWC’S LONG-TERM DUNLOP PARTNERSHIP CONTINUES AND EXPANDS
The long-term partnership between Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports, promoter of the FIM Endurance World Championship, and tyre manufacturer Dunlop is continuing – and expanding. From 2025, Dunlop will become the exclusive tyre supplier to the all-new FIM Production World Trophy, the first step on the EWC’s pathway to the top of endurance racing. As a result, Dunlop will provide its tyres, expertise and support to every team competing in the new FIM Production World Trophy and the Superstock-based FIM Endurance World Cup, which it has supplied on an exclusive basis since 2022. Dunlop will also continue to work with teams fighting for the overall victory in the Formula EWC category, which remains an open tyre competition. LINFOOT EYES BACK-T0-BACK EWC TITLES AFTER YOSHIMURA SERT MOTUL’S FAB FOUR REUNITED
Yoshimura SERT Motul has announced Gregg Black, Dan Linfoot and Étienne Masson will go for back-to-back FIM Endurance World Championship titles in 2025 supported once again by reserve rider Cocoro Atsumi from Japan. Black, Linfoot and Masson helped the Suzuki-powered outfit secure its second EWC crown – the first since 2021 – in 2024 to go with the 11 EWC titles won when the Le Mans-based squad competed under the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team banner. But having landed the FIM Endurance World Championship for Teams in 2024, Linfoot reckons Yoshimura SERT Motul will have to push even hard to bank more silverware in 2025, although he’s convinced that the Japanese outfit has what it takes to prevail. SLIDER ON THE RISE WITH REVAMPED EWC LINE-UP
Slider Endurance is preparing to start its second Honda-powered FIM Endurance World Cup campaign with a tweaked rider line-up and a firm belief that it can fight for the podium throughout the upcoming EWC season. Having switched from Yamaha to Honda motorcycles for 2024, Slider Endurance has recruited Spaniards Marc Alcoba and Marc Miralles to join forces with long-term team riders Jacopo Cretaro (Italy) and Rodi Pak (Turkey) for 2025. CRETARO RETURNS TO EWC TEAM SLIDER A FIT-AGAIN CHAMPION
Jacopo Cretaro will return to Slider Endurance for the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship fully fit and with the 2024 Spanish Stock 600 title under his belt. Cretaro was injured in a Moto2 crash at Portimão last autumn but has since recovered to the extent he’s aiming to be a podium regular on the #119 Slider Honda in the Superstock-based FIM Endurance World Cup. Double champion Mike Di Meglio has set winning races in the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship as a key target following his switch to Kawasaki Webike Trickstar. The winner of the EWC title in 2016-17 and again in 2022 joins Ryuji Tsuruta’s team alongside Christian Gamarino and Grégory Leblanc, plus Román Ramos, who has been named as Kawasaki Webike Trickstar’s reserve having raced for the squad in 2024. Team Étoile is preparing to embark on its second season in the FIM Endurance World Championship with the Superstock title its target and the development of more young riding talents from Japan a key focus. While highly experienced and accomplished racers Hikari Okubo and Kazuki Watanabe continue to ride the #25 Team Étoile BMW in the EWC, Motoharu Ito gets his first opportunity to compete for the Japanese squad. KM99 STRENGTHENS EWC PROSPECTS WITH MARC VDS PARTNERSHIP
Leading independent FIM Endurance World Championship squad KM99 has joined forces with Marc VDS Racing Team, one of motorcycle racing’s most successful outfits. The exciting new partnership, announced at Château de Modavenear Liège, Belgium, on 13 January, has been described by KM99 as a “major evolution for our team” and will result in KM99 running under the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99 banner. BMW EWC TEAM BRINGS IN ODENDAAL AS IT TARGETS WORLD TITLE
BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team has recruited South African Steven Odendaal as an exciting new addition to its FIM Endurance World Championship line-up for the 2025 season. The 2022 Bol d’Or winner and 2021 Supersport World Championship runner-up switches from Honda to BMW power for the upcoming campaign when he will join forces with existing BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team riders Sylvain Guintoli and Markus Reiterberger. REVO/M2 RACING GOES FOR APRILIA-POWERED EWC GLORY
Revo/M2 Racing will contest the 2025 FIM Endurance World Cup with the Aprilia RSV4 1100 motorcycle and a quartet of Italian riders. Based in Padua, Italy, Revo/M2 Racing is managed by Michele Bonaldo, who joined forces with Giovanni Baggi to create Team Aviobike by M2 Revo for the 2024 season. With that alliance discontinuing, Revo/M2 Racing has entered the Superstock-based FIM Endurance World Cup with a Dunlop-equipped Aprilia. Kevin Calia and Simone Saltarelli, who, along with Christian Gamarino, helped Team 33 Louit April Moto win the 2023 FIM Endurance World Cup, are included in the rider line-up, which also features Flavio Ferroni and Luca Vitali. MOTOBOX KREMER RACING HOPING FOR MOR(AIS) EWC SUCCESS
Long-standing FIM Endurance World Championship entrant Motobox Kremer Racing has added the vastly experienced Sheridan Morais to its rider line-up for the 2025 EWC season. Hard at work finalising its plans for 2025 following the Bol d’Or 2024 finale last September, which marked the completion of its 25th-anniversary EWC bid, Motobox Kremer Racing has made two key rider changes with the addition of South Africa-born Morais alongside Dutchman Twan Smits. EWC LAPS RESULT IN NATIONAL MOTOS ARSLA DONATION
National Motos Honda FMA has made a significant donation to ARSLA, a charitable association that supports patients, families and carers affected by Charcot’s disease, while also funding important research. The Superstock title-winning team pledged a donation of €1 for each lap it completed during the 2024 FIM Endurance World Championship. TEAM LRP POLAND RETURNS TO EWC WITH ALL-STAR LINE-UP
Team LRP Poland has announced its return to the FIM Endurance World Championship with “a strong, international line-up and a key new partner” for the upcoming season after a year of preparation at national level. One of the EWC’s leading independent outfits, Team LRP Poland has recruited Frenchman Enzo Boulom, Isle of Man TT legend Michael Dunlop from Northern Ireland, Englishman Danny Webb and Pole Marek Szkopek to share its latest-specification BMW M 1000 RR run on Dunlop tyres. Bartłomiej Lewandowski’s team has also strengthened its long-standing collaboration with the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, which will serve as the squad’s base with students and graduates once again forming a strong part of the pit crew during all EWC races. ERC MAKES EWC COMEBACK WITH BMW POWER AND FORÉS AT THE HELM
Xavi Forés will swap chasing FIM Endurance World Championship success on track to off it as Uwe Reinhardt’s ERC Endurance squad returns to the EWC in 2025. Ex-World Superbike racer Forés, who rode for ERC Endurance in the EWC between 2022 and 2023, has been appointed Team Manager for the Germany-based outfit, which is making its comeback to the championship following a one-year break. After almost four full seasons running Ducati motorcycles, ERC will count on BMW power once again. It will compete under the ERC BMW Endurance Team banner and use Dunlop tyres. Kaito Toba is set to become the latest FIM Endurance World Championship rookie as part of No Limits Motor Team’s all-new line-up for 2025.
