DUCATI "Desert X Rally" adventure video released to promote the event to adventure fans.
DUCATI released a documentary video on its official YouTube channel on January 24, documenting the story of a rider and his motorcycle on an adventure trip in the Australian outback with the Desert X Rally adventure enduro model under the project "Un-Disclosed". The video seems to be Ducati's way of promoting its enhanced off-road capabilities.
The two pairs of riders who took on the trip, Andrea Rossi and Nick Selleck, describe the trip as a treasure hunt to discover wild, unexplored parts of Australia, fiery deserts and untouched mountains. Through breathtaking footage of river crossings, night encampments, and helicopter rides, this is an exciting and memorable adventure dedicated to all off-road enthusiasts.
Mr. Selleck, an Australian, is forever etched in the hearts of his fans as the star of the documentary video "Mission": "Un-Finkeable," in which he took on a grueling challenge. In the video, he rode a standard Desert X equipped with only an auxiliary fuel tank and made the 460-km off-road round trip between Alice Springs and the Aptura community in one day without refueling.
A year later, the project was re-launched as this “Un-Disclosed” project. Andrea states that he was fascinated by the possibilities of the Desert X Rally in Australia's spectacular nature, land, and harsh off-road terrain. The off-road version of the Desert X Rally is equipped with TERMIGNONI exhaust, engine guards, and PIRELLI Scorpion Rally tires, and professional wheels and suspension as standard equipment, making it easily adaptable to harsh off-road conditions.
