"TENERE 700" Model with Expanded Electronic Control and Evolutionary Improvements Launched for 2025
The 2025 YAMAHA TENERE 700 ABS is being introduced. The previous model was an off-road oriented motorcycle that set itself apart from other companies' adventure motorcycles and was athletic enough to compete in the Elsber Glodeo. The new model has been significantly updated to enhance touring convenience by actively incorporating electronic controls.
Most noteworthy is the use of the YCC-T (YAMAHA Chip Controlled Throttle), an electronically controlled throttle. The YCC-T, which has stubbornly used a wired throttle up until now, expands the electronic control system to include a system that switches between two driving modes, "explorer" and "street," as well as traction control and other systems. Expectations are high for the changes in its ride quality.
The front suspension settings were reviewed and a preload adjuster was added. The rear suspension has evolved to a more off-road oriented suspension by increasing the amount of stroke. In addition, the seat has been redesigned to increase riding position flexibility, with a flat, one-piece seat that is easier to move into position. The shape of the fuel tank has also been reviewed to improve ease of movement when riding.
The meter area is newly equipped with a specially designed 6.3-inch TFT and is compatible with the “Y-Connect” smartphone linkage function. Visibility and operability have been greatly improved. In terms of styling, the newly designed LED headlights emphasize the rally taste. The overall design has been redesigned to give the impression of strength and fearlessness.
The new TENERE 700 ABS inherits the off-road orientation of the previous model from its lightweight body, simple configuration, and long suspension stroke, but has evolved significantly, especially in terms of electronic control. The new TENERE 700 ABS is an update that has acquired a depth of nostalgia without losing its TENERE character.
It is being promoted with 3 new colors to choose from: Deep Purple Blue Metallic C, Matte Yellowish Gray Metallic 2, and Blue Solid A.
