HONDA RACING (HRC) will be releasing their new model ''GROM Racing Base Model'' on the end of May at HRC Service Shops throughout Japan.
HRC is also planning to hold ''HRC GROM Cups'' for GROM Racing Base Models at circuits throughout Japan from July.
Various parts are expected to be released that will increase the opportunity of customization. Despite the fact that GROM is popular around the world, GROM Cups may even be held abroad. Especially in Asia, GROM has mass-market and may meet the demands of the Cup.
NSF100 a model that belongs in the same category is still being produced but is very likely to unify with the GROM Racing Base Model. NSF100 was popular among many mini bike racers and there is a growing interest how it will turn out.
About the New GROM Racing Base Model
Parts unnecessary for racing have been removed from GROM Racing Base Models. (Parts such as headlight, taillight etc.) ECU and harness are replaced with parts specified for racing. It is also equipped with genuine racing model parts such as handle shifter, pit lane speed control switch and mode select switch.
*The vehicle will be mounted at each service shop with parts required for racing (such as cowl, silencer, step etc.) and sold as a package.
*HRC GROM Cups for GROM Racing Base Models will be held at circuits throughout the country from July. (Refer to attached sheet for more information.) Also, Grand Championship is scheduled to be held at Twin Ring Motegi at the end of the year. (Currently adjustments are being made.)
