2019 New HONDA CBR650 R which was released at the Milan Show (EICMA) held in Italy in November 2018, and called a topic of image revamp. Details of its domestic sales in Japan were officially released. It will be released on March 15, 2019 at the price of 103,000 yen to 10,669,000 yen for tax included motorcycle.
A road sports model equipped with a compact full cowl · CBR650 R is developed based on CBR650 F of a conventional model equipped with water-cooled 4-stroke DOHC in-line 4 cylinder 648cc engine that can enjoy the full rotation feeling. Under the concept "Fluctuating Exciting Running 4 Middle CBR R", the styling has also been redesigned while aging parts of the body, undercarriage, power unit, so that the motorcycle can be more spritly manipulated. Also, as the F series end, the motorcycle name will also be changed to "CBR650 R".

Regarding the body and suspension, we are pursuing weight reduction and high rigidity by changing the components and manufacturing method of the frame, centralizing mass, adopting aluminum wheels of 5 Y-shaped spokes, etc. It is combined with an inverted front fork, a front brake employing a radial mount caliper, a position adjustment of Separate han dlebar & step, etc., and is trying to improve motor performance.

For the power unit, it is tuning various places aiming at improving the output of the high rotation range than the conventional model while maintaining easy-to-handle torque characteristics. It clearly outlines the direction as a compact road sports model such as changing valve specification, changing piston shape, and adopting a newly designed air cleaner (Twin Ram Air Duct).
In addition, an assist slipper clutch that alleviates the load of clutch operation and a Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) that alleviates rear wheel slip are newly adopted. It is also taken into consideration for rider's fatigue reduction and a sense of security.

As for styling, we are renewing the design which emphasized the image of the CBR series, including the newly designed lightweight and compact full cowl, adoption of LED dual headlight etc. Body color is a lineup of two colors - "Grand Prix Red" of the racing image full of speed feeling, and "Matt Ballistic Black Metallic" of calm impression based on black.
