Suzuki has announced that the KATANA large two-wheeled vehicle will be available in a special color and limited to 100 units. Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 3 p.m. on January 11, 2021, through Suzuki's Internet-based sales website, S-MALL, and will be sold at Suzuki motorcycle stores nationwide.
The new KATANA's special Candy Darling Red color is based on the reference model that was the most popular in the "KATANA Color Questionnaire," a project for the Suzuki Web Motorcycle Show that was released on the Suzuki website on March 27, 2020.
The special Candy Darling Red color adds an extra touch of quality to the KATANA's unique styling, with dark red wheels that match the body color and gold handlebars, front fork outer tubes, and chain. The "刀 (Katana)" decals, emblems, and seat stitching are also exclusively colored for this model, adding to the attention to detail.
The KATANA is equipped with a lightweight aluminum frame and a modified version of the GSX-R1000's 998cm3 inline four-cylinder engine, as well as traction control to efficiently transfer the engine's output to the road surface, providing exciting acceleration and comfortable riding.
