YAMAHA Motor Co., Ltd. will release the "SR400 Final Edition" equipped with an air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, single-cylinder engine, on March 15, 2021. On the same day, YAMAHA will also release a limited edition of 1,000 units of the "SR400 Final Edition Limited "*1 with special features such as livery and emblems. The production of the SR400 for the Japanese market will be discontinued after this model.
Since its launch in 1978, the "SR400" has evolved and matured over the years, gaining the support of a wide range of customers, from entry-level riders to experienced riders, regardless of age, with its unchanging "SR-like" character, such as the pleasant feeling of the big single-engine, simple style, and kick-starter system.
The "SR400 Final Edition Limited" comes in black, a color that has been loved by many SR fans. It is equipped with a fuel tank with hand-made sunburst coating*2, electroformed emblem with a serial number, brass tuning fork emblem, OEM leather seat, new color anodized wheel rims, and black dial meter with "Final Edition" on it. This model brings together the best of YAMAHA's craftsmanship to mark the end of the "SR400.
The "SR400 Final Edition" is available in two colors: a simple "dark gray" color with a graphic pattern reminiscent of past models, and a familiar and warm "blue" color.
*1 "SR400 Final Edition Limited" is a "YAMAHA Motorcycle Exclusive Model" sold only at YSP and Advance Dealers, which are undergoing sequential renewal.
*Sunburst paint: Blurred paint applied to the basic base color.
