Kawasaki Announces New Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-10RR with New Design

Kawasaki Motors Japan has announced the introduction of the Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-10RR in Japan, announced by Kawasaki Heavy Industries at its online launch on November 23, 2020. The models will be introduced in the spring of 2021.

The Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-10RR are the flagship models of the Ninja ZX series. It has won the rider and manufacturer's titles for six consecutive years in the Superbike World Championship, the premier road race for production vehicles. For the 2021 model year, its high track performance has been further improved.

Main Features

As a testament to the combined technologies of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group, the H2 series, including the Ninja H2, has now been awarded the River Mark.

■ Engine
(1) The 998cm3 liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, in-line 4-cylinder DOHC engine is newly equipped with an air-cooled oil cooler based on feedback from machines competing in the Superbike World Championship.
(2) The limited production (500 units worldwide) Ninja ZX-10RR features new lightweight pistons in addition to PANKL titanium connecting rods to raise the rev limit.

■Body
(1) Improved aerodynamics with an integrated winglets, advanced aerodynamic cowl shape and smaller headlight, and a new design that sets the benchmark for next-generation Ninja styling.
(2) Updated geometry for improved cornering performance and nimble handling. The suspension settings have also been optimized accordingly.

Equipment
(1) New features such as electronic cruise control and a TFT instrument panel with smartphone-linked functions have been added. This allows the rider to enjoy sports riding in a wide range of situations.
