Service Campaign for Suzuki’s Gixxer SF250: Rear Combination Lamp Mounting Parts May Be Damaged

Motorcycle & Industry

Service Campaign Start Date
April 2, 2021

Details of the problem

In some prime movers, the balancer shaft and crankshaft are assembled in a position different from the normal position due to improper indication of the phase alignment position of the balancer drive gear. This may result in increased engine vibration, and if the engine is continued to be used as is, there is a risk of damage to the rear combination lamp mounting.

Details of Improvements
All vehicles will be inspected for engine vibration and any vehicles with improperly installed balancer drive gears will be replaced with new gears.
