If you have a constant rising rate front spring, you can change the spring rate by applying preload. By applying preload to suit your riding conditions, you can stabilize your body posture under braking and cornering for fatigue-free and anxiety-free riding. Only one side of the spring needs to be installed to achieve the desired effect.
