Meet the custom motorcycle from K1 who rides the GSX-R1000.

Motorcycle and self-introduction

[Self-introduction]
I obtained a medium-sized driver's license at the age of 27. At the age of 29, I got my large two-wheel license. I am now 45 years old, but I am a motorcycle enthusiast who rides a motorcycle constantly.

What's your motorcycle history?
CB400SF (first generation VTEC) → CBR954RR → GSX-R1000 (K6) → Inazuma 400 → GSX-R1000 (K7).

[Motorcycle]

One of the machines I own now is my main GSX-R1000 (2007 model). I just casually dropped by the store and casually bought it, lol. That's how I bought the CBR954 and the K6 until now. Suzuki's flagship SS and the only hydraulic clutch in the GSX-R1000 series (lol). It's already 13 years old, but the body is still in good shape.

Customization of the particulars

[Directionality]
I'm trying to make a simple custom that doesn't look overly complicated (and could be mistaken for a normal one). The exterior has been converted to external, but that's the exception lol.

[Points that I think are cool]
I think it's a cool point that I refurbished the exterior so that it has a tighter silhouette.

[Points of change in performance]
I think it's the custom brake and exhaust system.

Custom Points

Brand: Nissin
Product Name: Forged Radial Brake Master Cylinder

They are different from those sold in mass merchandisers. The more you grip it, the more firmly it operates, and the hits don't change every time. Italian products are famous, but I think Japanese products are the best. The lever in the picture is the one that has already been replaced by the Antlion lever. I guess the reason I replaced the Nissin lever was that I couldn't reach it with my fingers and it looked. (One of the reasons I don't want to fold the Nissin stock lever for forging is because it costs 15,000 yen)

Brand: Suzuki Genuine
Product Name: GSX-R1000(K9) OEM Caliper

Up to K8 it's a regular caliper, and from K9 onwards it's a monoblock caliper. It can be pimped to K6 and K7. The rigidity is increased and the weight is reduced, so it's a good thing.


Brand: Yamaha Genuine
Product name: YZF-R1 genuine slot cone

This makes it a little more hi-slow. It's comfortable to operate around town and can be fully throttled in one go without having to regrip. The left-hand grip is also replaced with a Yamaha R1 stock grip.


Brand: Puch
Item Name: Racing Screens

I thought it was important to have a windshield. It's nice, no distortion or warping, unlike the cheap unmade ones. Also, the screen bolts are the stock L7 bolts. The reason is it's made of aluminum and has a flat head. I was so impressed with the stock screws for aerodynamic and weight considerations that I bought them.

Item Name: Mini3 Digital Air Fuel Ratio Gauge [Suzuki series]

Slip-on silencers from Stryker, which I'll show you later. Intermediate pipe from an unnamed manufacturer, Power Commander III. So, I can't use the hanging map of the Power Commander as it is. I've been looking at the A/F ratio meter and connecting it to my PC to make fine adjustments. In the product description, it says that there is no guarantee of compatibility except for the Address V125, but I was able to install it on my K7.

and an unknown manufacturer

Product name: Titanium oval silencer and the intermediate pipe

I found this Striker titanium oval silencer at one of the used mass merchandisers. I bought it immediately. Until then, I had a Yoshimura carbon silencer, but the sound was not so good. I obeyed my pure heart, which is selfishly determined to be a lightweight, high-pitched titanium oval for the SS, lol. The middle pipe was purchased from the jungle site. I changed the position of the silencer spring to the silencer side.

Item Name: Power Commander III (USB)

I bought it because after I changed the exhaust system, the afterfire started to sound frequently. After the installation, the rear wheel is floated to open the throttle fully so that the PC can remember the accelerator position, which caused a lot of trouble in the neighborhood.

Product name: Exterior set

I bought it from the jungle site. This livery is the livery of the Ulster Suzuki that competed in the SBK (World Superbike Championship) back in 2007. The name of the main sponsor is a beer company that became famous in the movie "Wisepac," but I'm a little worried about the people around me because the name is the same as that of the new strain of the Koetana virus that has been prevalent since the beginning of this year.

The cowl accuracy seems to be reasonably good. But I thought I didn't mean to choose a flashy one, but the body ended up standing out more than I expected.

I couldn't post the rest because of the number of photos, but I installed Suzuki genuine: K9 genuine indicator mirror, nao Arching Rear Sets, and R&G Silencer Bracket.

Also, the stock rear suspension does not allow for ride height adjustment, so I put a large washer between the rear suspension and the frame, and raised the tires to 190/55.

Customization that I want to do in the future

I'd like to replace the F-fork with a K9 or later BFP. Thank you for reading until the end.
