Three wildcards who impressed during the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race, Japan’s round of the FIM Endurance World Championship in August, have been confirmed for more MotoGP action in 2024.

Part of the Team HRC with Japan Post line-up that won the iconic event, Frenchman Johann Zarco (pictured above) will continue to ride in MotoGP with the Castrol Honda LCR squad.

Albert Arenas, who like Zarco was making his EWC debut at Suzuka, can look forward to another season of Moto2 action with the Gresini Moto2™ outfit. The Spaniard (pictured below) helped Yoshimura SERT Motul to the final spot on the Suzuka podium despite travel delays limiting his track time in Japan.

Barry Baltus, part of the Fantic Racing Moto2 attack in 2025, rode for AutoRace Ube Racing Team at Suzuka and could have finished in the top five but for his team-mate Anthony West suffering a fall in the closing stages of the EWC counter.

The 46th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race takes place from 1-3 August 2025 as round three of the upcoming four-event EWC season. It runs during a four-week break in the MotoGP calendar.
