After the 7th round of Autopolis doing the Round 8 Okayama of the preliminary test, still, the dry and wet conditions were not stable.

In the preliminary test, Tomoyoshi Koyama who was putting on the top ranking at the same point as his rival did not dare to run on the wet condition.

The first day of the race week was blessed with fresh autumn, but Typhoon 24 was approaching on a course that runs through here Japan Islands, and Saturday and Sunday were in danger.

On Friday, it was a dry condition wherein both the 1st and 2nd, Koyama mark the top time placed in a 1-minute 34-second range.

At first run, he tried a different set than the preliminary test, but because it was not so good, at the 2nd run, it was back to the original state, and the time was shortened further.

Also, Takuma Kunimine the 4th place fastest and feels decent. Kamei was in the 21st place.

On Saturday, the weather forecast rain showed up and the rain was getting stronger, but the time schedule proceeded almost as planned.

However, Typhoon No. 24 was certainly close, it was thought that the early decision of cancellation will be issued as soon as possible because Okayama was damaged by a flood last July in Western Japan.

In fact, Sunday's race canceled was announced was just before the ST600 class began, which was the final preliminary session.

The release also stipulates that half points will be given in the preliminary rankings, and for Koyama fighting the title, it was a preliminary session that must be at risk.

Although it was Koyoma who did not run in a wet-weather in the preliminary test, early in the session, after checking the machine and course in a wet condition, he started to attack at the end of the session.

While he can't get a clear lap, it marked 1st 41sec 045, fourth fastest with the last attack.

Koyama leads one point and was supposed to greet the final race Suzuka in the provisional rankings top because the rival became the 5th place.

Also for Kunimine's last attack, a 6th place rider who was avoiding in the back straight was coming back to the record line without getting out of time while marking is best in sector 1. Kamei is finished qualifying with 24th place.

Players Statement

Koyama Tomoyoshi Comments

I ran with a set that I did not try in the preliminary test on the first run of the opening day so the second one is now back to the original.

It was the top time for both sessions, but it was a time when both of them got stuck, and because there was a feeling that was not attacked, I was able to put out a better time.

I did not run in wet weather during the preliminary test but because I had the experience of running so far, it was a game of how much adjustment and the rider can run while running the preliminary.

Finally, I was able to lead one point as the fourth fastest against my rival.

It's like a flat thing but I don't know what the race is, and it might come alive at this one point.

In the final round, I think about going ahead to win anyway and just race.

Takuma Kunimine Comments

In the preliminary test, I was able to proceed smoothly and set it in the 1 minute 33 seconds range and I was confident that the Okayama International Circuit was also a good course.

It was a dry condition on the first day of race week, I thought that I could expect the time of the preliminary test if I checked the first run with the used tire and wear a new tire by the second run but the red flag continued and I was unable to use the good part of the new tire compared to other circuits, I had plenty of room for myself so I thought that I could do a good run whether dry or wet weather.

Finally, when I was attacking, the rider who was avoiding in the back straight was coming back to the record line and it ended without giving up time although I was confident in wet weather during preliminary.

I think that I will be able to greet Suzuka in the final race with confidence because I am in good condition.

Shun Kamei Comments

I was getting better every time I ran, thank you for the support of everyone in the team including Representative Tejima and Manager Iwata.

On the first day in the dry condition, the first half section was good but I was not able to raise the time in the second half section.

In the wet condition preliminaries, I thought about getting used to the course condition and machine accustomed to the setting, but I have taken a course out at the hairpin.

I want to be able to concentrate more time out because it is not possible to put out a single time yet.

Representative Tejima Yuusuke Comments

Thank you very much for your support, including Japan Post, Honda, and many others.

Unfortunately, we could not make the final race due to the typhoon, but we were able to meet the final match with a one-point lead because Mr. Koyama fought well in preliminary.

Mr. Kuninomi's condition is also good and Mr. Kamie wants to be able to finish the highest rank this season.

We will face the final game Suzuka with the full team's power to be able to finish the season with the best results.

Thank you for your continued support.
