Hi, this is Kenny Sagawa, I'm a motorcycle Journalist.
This time, I have tested ride "Hyper Motard 939/SP."

Unfortunately it was in a rain condition, but I was able to ride firmly with a rain tire.
The displacement of the engine has increased so that the engine power is increasing in the mid-range.
This point was very different from the conventional one.
When I opened the throttle, the acceleration feeling was obviously more powerful than the conventional model.
OHLINS suspensions are installed both in front and rear for this Hypermotard SP model.
This model has been upgraded by installing OHLINS suspensions, furthermore, the length of the stroke also has been changed for longer.
It became easier to ride even more with OHLINS's high damper performance and long stroke.
The seat height gets higher, it's 890 mm.
However, once I ride on the motorcycle, it won't bother me at all.

On the other hand, I could enjoy unique riding in the high position.
It was very pleasant.
It was fun ride.
And one more thing.
This motorcycle got 3 riding modes.
I have tested ride in "Wet mode" first.
Once I got used to it, I have changed to "Sports mode", then I have changed to "Race mode".
In "Race mode", it was easy to control the motorcycle more than I expected since the throttle is very gentle.

I was able to ride this motorcycle with wide open throttle even in "Race mode" in the rain condition.
Although there may be the influence of the rain tires, still I was able to open the throttle widely without traction control while I was riding.
I felt that the throttle was very smooth and it has capable of demonstrating excellent grip.
Although it was a rain condition, I could enjoy this test riding with this Hypermotard SP model.
