The Sahara desert that became the stage

I have participated in the international media test drive event of KTM latest model "790 Adventure". The place is the city of Al Hood in Morocco in North Africa. It is known as the gateway to the famous Sahara Desert.

The 790 Adventure is a new generation adventure model equipped with a water-cooled parallel two-cylinder engine similar to the 790 DUKE debuted last year. In the test ride event, Marc Coma, who won 5 wins in the Dakar Rally, the strongest female rider who came in 11th in Dakar this year, Laia Snaz and other KTM superstar in rally worlds, etc., will also face as guests, KTM commitment to this model has been transmitted.

On-road version is comfortable leg length tourer

There are two variations of the model tested this time, and the "790 Adventure" is equipped with 21-inch / 18-inch spoke wheels and on-road tires on the front and rear wheels and equipped with a split screen with high screen and tandem premise. "Comfortable leg length tourer" aiming at multi-run on long-distance movement including highway, winding, rough road mainly.

The engine is impressive with the 790 DUKE giving a feeling of beat and smooth upswing, and it will be fun just by flowing a straight road continuing up to the horizon at high speed. In addition to three types of riding modes (street, rain, off road), safety performance has also greatly evolved, including ABS and traction control that are also compatible with cornering. Stable mounting is achieved even at high speed corners by mounting a 20-liter tank with a cruising distance of 400 km at a low position on the vehicle body. The height of the runaway ability which can enter flat dart without hesitation was also impressive.

R that boasts rally machine performance

On the other hand, the "790 Adventure R" has the same wheel diameter, but the off-road block tire and the fully adjustable WP tire back and forth suspension, an up-fender and a one-piece type seat is given a full-fledged off-road The model is a model that brings out the true nature of the adventure.

The big feature is that there is a setting of "Rally" in riding mode. The "Rally" mode is the most aggressive output characteristic, and the pleasure of rushing to fly through the reddish-brown dry earth with the throttle open is just a pseudo Dakar rally experience. The scale was great, and it was an exciting experience I had never experienced before!

Challenge over the huge sand dunes in Dune

The hills of fine sand, like powder, cut away engine power and rider strength without hesitation. There, I knew that light and easy-to-use car model, powerful power is an absolute requirement. It was just the ultimate off road, and I understood that KTM wanted us to experience it through the 790 Adventure.
