KAWASAKI KSR Pro Owner's Review

We will introduce Mr. Mamakun's passionate story about his riding experience with his beloved motorcycle, KS Pro, from Webike community "My Beloved Moto" campaign. He shared with us the advantages and disadvantages review of the KS Pro, which he knows well because he's the owner.

Mamakun's Brief Introduction

・Motorcycle history
I've been riding a motorcycle for 30 years since I obtained a moped license when I was prohibited from obtaining a license. Until recently, I ride the KSR Pro and NINJA 250SL properly according to the application, but the MONKEY 125 has increased from an unexpected point. It becomes 3 motorcycles per person, and it is likely to be thought that I am rich, but that is not the case.

・How to enjoy the usual motorcycle
Basically, delicious lunch and fun content within 100km one way? I'm riding in search of, but I continue to ride about 400-500km on all-down roads to KSR Shimanami meeting and Michikashima camp once a year, and if I feel like I want to ride anywhere.

・How long have I been riding the KSR Pro?
I purchased the KSR Pro on Yahoo! in December 2015 and have been riding it since present.

・Purchase Motivation
The BW's 100 that I purchased to put my child in the rear got various troubles (especially oil leakage and oil blow from the exhaust system), and the complaints from my wife riding in the rear became hard. My wife is on the GROM (MSX125), but due to the difference in fuel consumption, the timing of refueling did not match, and when going to the countryside on a long-distance touring, there were often no fuel stations and there was often a lack of fuel. My child grew older and I got a motorcycle license, but I don't want to ride a scooter, so I bought it at YAHOO Auction thinking that it would be good for children to practice when I am not riding.

Advantage

・For applications
The body re-opened with a single seat is compact and easy to handle. The motorcycle body and tire size are UP than the KS-1 that I used to ride in the past, but it is convenient with small turns. The foot grounding is good, and it is possible to adventure with the freezing road like in the picture because it seems to be able to ride anywhere apart from good or bad. Well, actually it's a complete On-road tires, so I don't ride recklessly.

・For riding
The rigidity of the motorcycle body is good. I think that it is enough because it bounces by the gap when it is too hard. Like the KAWASAKI motorcycles that I been riding over the years, the front brake is normal, and the rear brake works well. It is possible to flow the rear by making it lock easily. Whether it is safe or not, it is a specification that I personally love. There is no problem in practical use because the engine power is fairly high. It would be a lie if I said I didn't want it, but I personally like the feeling that I'm riding with the full engine rather than the power that I can not handle. Since it is a carburetor rather than an injection, it has no power and I think that fuel consumption is not good, but it may be easy to modify in the future. Overall, there is a habit, but I think that it is a fun motorcycle to ride.

・Appearance
Even if it is a small displacement motorcycle, it is a KAWASAKI motorcycle. Now that I've created a genre called the late Super Bikers Mini, I think that the perfection of the design is high even if the off-road model is deformed.

Disadvantages

・For applications
The normal exhaust with a bad omission does not run away from heat. The seat cowl is affixed with insulation, but in the summer, the right thigh area is burned at low temperature.

→ It was resolved by replacing the exhaust, but the minimum ground clearance decreased, so I was concerned about riding on forest roads and the range of adventure activities is narrowed. The headlight is dark, and there are few LED lights that can be replaced because it is an AC power supply.
→ It can be converted to sphere light to solve the problem.
It has a one-seater compact body and has no loading capacity.
→ It is solved by adding a fuel tank bag and a carrier.

There is no tachometer, trip, and fuel gauge. It can't be helped that there is only speedometer and warning light from the first generation KS-1 and 2. Why is the texture lower than the old days? The quality of each part has dropped in a small place. Recently, I am worried about the fading of the plastic parts.

Even though I know that I shouldn't compare it to a Japanese model, the quality of the Thai Kawasaki is too low. The final type of the KSR is with Pro, I think it would have been better to upgrade a little more.

Could the Z125 meter be a little enviable? Unlike HONDA motorcycle such as the GROM (MSX125), there are few custom parts available. Even now, it seems that parts and tires will not be available in the future.

・For riding
Since the transmission is 4th speed, I want another speed. Since I am not used to it, I put it in the 5th speed of the illusion. It was unsatisfactory because I was in the 6th speed of the AR (2st) system.

・For appearance
No complaints.

Summary

The Z125 Pro, which is released as a successor model, and the new Z/NINJA125 has been released overseas. Even now, it may be a motorcycle that quietly disappears from many rider's memory. As it is a carburetor motorcycle, it does not have good fuel consumption, and in winter there are ceremonies for pulling chokes and starting, so it is recommended only for riders who like the KSR.

There is no power, but because it is a feeling that 110cc is piled up in the moped, it runs fairly. I think that it is interesting for riders who like the feeling that they are driving rather than riding a motorcycle.

The supply of parts is still okay, but since it is an unpopular model, there are few units in Japan. Furthermore, the individual with a good degree is decreasing, too. If you are interested in the KSR Pro motorcycle it is better buy it now!
