HONDA Super Cub 110 Pro Owner's Review
We will introduce Atsushi's passionate story about his riding experience with his beloved motorcycle, Super Cub 110 Pro, from Webike community "My Beloved Moto" campaign. He told us about his review of the Super Cub 100 Pro, including its advantages and disadvantages, which he knows well because he's the owner.
Atsushi's Brief Self-introduction
- Motorcycle history
There were times when I wasn't riding, perhaps around 30 years. I enjoy big motorcycles with plenty of power, but I prefer non-powered motorcycle, so I often own 2 types of mopeds.
- How I enjoy riding my motorcycle on a daily basis
I enjoy riding my motorcycle every day from day trips & overnight stays, and camp touring to business and shopping. Of course, I do all the maintenance & custom work myself. I think that I've owned many Super Cub so I've experienced most of them.
- Period of riding this motorcycle
I'm riding Super Cub for about 6 years.
- Purchasing motive
I purchased it as a successor to the Super Cub 90 for going to work.
Satisfaction / Advantage
- For purpose
It has a large rear carrier and a basket in the front for excellent load capacity. Even if you go shopping after work, you can take it home with ease. If you ride with moderation, the fuel economy is also good. The front parking brake is very convenient and useful as you can stop the motorcycle while idling for a downhill ride.
- For riding
As it is similar to the Super Cub used for postmen and newspaper delivery, the 14-inch wheels are better at getting around the town because of its smaller diameter compared to the STD 17-inch wheel Cub.
- For appearance
I like it because it's so much like a business-use that it's blended into the city's landscape and doesn't stand out.

Dissatisfaction / Disadvantage
- For purpose
The quality is very poor. Is it because this JA10 model was manufactured in China? The steel parts are very prone to rust. The front fenders and chain covers are terrible and even if you take care of them, they will have holes in a few years. Even on a Cub that is over 10 years older than this body, it doesn't rust this much. The Super Cub 90DX I had until a few months ago remained shiny until I let it go. The engine was also quiet for about 2 to 3,000 miles, and the mechanical noise got worse quickly. The camshaft chain guide rollers and roller tensioner/pushrod heads are wearing out and the only way to keep it in good condition is to replace it at least 5,000 to 10,000 km.
I don't think there's anything more to say, but there have been a lot of issue to recall, so I'm very worried about this as I use it on a daily basis. I hope that the current model will be improved because it seems to have returned to its production.
- For riding
In a busy urban city, I don't think that would be a problem, but on country roads where the flow of vehicles is unusually fast, I feel like it is a lack of power on the uphills. I'm scared If I don't look at the side mirrors at all times. When I try my best to ride with the flow of the vehicles, I consume a lot of fuel because of my slow habit.
- For appearance
I don't care about the appearance but if I wanted to, it would be nice to have other colors to choose from as well, as the available color is only blue.

Summary (Recommended for riders)
I think I was unlucky because this was the Super Cub 110 Pro that was on sale as a current new car at the time I bought it. I can honestly say that this JA10 Super Cub was a failure. When I bought it, I could have chosen the JA07 Super Cub if I could still find the previous model JA07 in stock, but it was a mistake to choose the JA10 because I was attracted by the price. Either way, the displacement of 110cc is also halfway. I bore it up to 125cc. The lack of power was resolved and the fuel consumption was much better than the stock model.
Nowadays, the 125cc line-up has become more extensive, so I would strongly recommend the 125cc from the start if you have the budget to spare. If you're looking for a used 110 Cub, I highly recommend the older JA07 or the current JA44. I would definitely avoid purchasing the JA10 even if it's a little cheaper.
It's already close to 80,000km despite the fact that I wrote it harshly and I'm playing around with bore up, air intake, and engine displacement. So, I could say that the durability is just like the Super Cub unless maintenance is neglected. I think I'm going to keep up with it to the limit. I'm looking forward to the day it gets over 100,000km.
