Here's a passionate review from "Tagosaku" who ride a SEROW250, from Webike Community "My Beloved Moto" campaign. He told us about his in-play review of the SEROW250, including the advantages and disadvantages, which he understands because he's the owner.
Brief self-introduction
Motorcycle experience -> about 30 years
How I enjoy my motorcycle on a regular basis
Walking around the neighborhood, annual long-distance touring, maybe more putting on and polishing aftermarket parts than riding.
- I've been riding this motorcycle for about 5 years.
Satisfaction/advantages
- For the purpose - For riding - For appearance
I switched from a Hayabusa to a SEROW250. My first non-moped motorcycle (although it was a loaner) was probably an early model Cerro, about 30 years ago. At that time, it was the heyday or the end of the racer replica era, so I didn't know how good it was, so I returned it right away and bought a GSX250S. Since then, I've ridden several motorcycles and finally came back to the SEROW.
Anyway, it's a good motorcycle that's light and really low maintenance considering the taxes and fuel consumption. When I bought it, it was a green SEROW, but I got the exterior of the YSP limited edition, so it's just a blue SEROW now. There was a little bit of room around the knees, but when I changed to a Wise Gear ash seat, I killed two birds with one stone, and my buttocks didn't hurt anymore.
Again, the fuel economy is great. I think that the previous owner's Hayabusa was also 20km/L, so it was excellent, but the SEROW gets 35-40km/L.
The optional parts are out there, too. It is fun to install this and that according to one's use. When money is not available like me, you can enjoy variously with the fantasy. The price of the optional parts is relatively cheap in the case of the SEROW though the price of the optional parts of the Hayabusa and the Katana, etc. is determined.
Dissatisfaction/disadvantages
- For the purpose - For riding - For appearance
There is nothing to complain about. People say the lights are dark or something, but they are sufficient for my needs. With that said, I added the optional LED fog lights. The rest is nothing.
Summary
I bought this motorcycle because I thought it was great for uphill. In fact, I have plans to increase the number of motorcycles again or so, but this motorcycle is really great. It has a great selection of optional parts, so you can adapt it to your size and use. The final edition is out, and it looks like it's really going to be discontinued soon, but if you're interested in getting one before you can't get a new motorcycle, make sure you get it before the new one becomes unavailable. There is also a way to find used motorcycle, but the market price of a used motorcycle is not that cheap compared to the price of a new motorcycle.
