Suzuki Bandit 1250F Owner Review

We will introduce Todo's passionate story about his riding experience with his beloved motorcycle, SUZUKI Bandit 1250F, from Webike Community's "My Beloved Moto" campaign.

Todo told us about his review of the Bandit 1250F, including its advantages and disadvantages, which he knows well because he's the owner.

Brief self-introduction]

Motorcycle history and how I usually enjoy my motorcycle
→ I started getting a moped motorcycle when I was in high school and it's a fun time to ride a moped in the county.

I obtained a medium-sized driver's license as a college student. Hooked on camping and touring, driving from Hokkaido to Kyushu. I obtained a large-sized license while still in school. As a working adult, I switched to a large motorcycle and have been riding all over Japan. The motorcycle is mainly my means of transportation, and although it is good to just ride it, I believe that traveling is what makes a motorcycle a motorcycle.

How long have you been riding this motorcycle?
→I've been driving it since August 2011 and it's still going strong after 130,000 miles.

Motive for purchase
→I fell in love with it at first sight when I tried it at a Suzuki test ride event held in the city. I love how easy it is to ride on a tight market course with all that torque!

Satisfaction and Strengths

For applications
→ Basically a travel motorcycle.
It's a teacup from Suzuki, and it's a motorcycle that's so well suited to travel that they've used the word "travel" in a guessing game at the end of the motorcycle. Most of the time it is pillion riding, and even with two people on board, it's as reliable as ever.

For riding
→ It's very easy to ride that you don't need high RPMs and can complete everything in up to 4,000 RPMs.
I like the pipe bar handle which makes it easy to handle at high speeds and on narrow roads. It's also good that it's very quiet with a big silencer.

For appearance
→The GSX-like front mask is very cool. And it's good that it's long.

Dissatisfaction and Weaknesses

For applications
→It is obvious, but the rubble road is not suitable for it. The first moss is also a gravel road.
It's tough to make a U-turn with your head in the downward direction, so be careful. It would have been nice to have a slightly larger gasoline tank so I could refuel less often. The window is a little short on the stock one, so it winds up on my head, and I changed it to a zero-gravity touring version to solve the problem.

For riding
→ No complaints about the pavement.
The cowl chattering noise is a bit annoying.

For appearance
→The design of the meter area is poor. Clock and ODO cannot be displayed together.
The cowl is somewhat cheap. The inside of the front light is often fogged up with condensation.

Summary

  • It's great for people who want to travel far and wide.
  • I always travel on a pillion motorcycle, and it is easy to ride even on a pillion riding.
  • Lightweight for a full-cowl, liter motorcycle.
  • It's so cheap that it's hard to believe it's a liter motorcycle.
  • Good luggage carrying capacity. Good cargo capacity, plenty of room for camping gear.
  • It's not common to see many of them, so it's not likely to be worn.

Thank you, Todo, for a narrative that shows so much love for your Bandit 1250F!
