Kawasaki Ninja1000 Owner Review
We will introduce Enta's passionate story about his riding experience with his beloved motorcycle, Ninja1000, from Webike Community's "My Beloved Moto" campaign.
Enta told us about his review of the Ninja1000, including its advantages and disadvantages, which he knows well because he's the owner.
Brief self-introduction
Motorcycle history and how I usually enjoy my motorcycle
I started riding when I was 16 years old, so I've been riding motorcycles for 35 years now. However, I did not ride for about 8 years due to a chronic illness of an injury, which is an inherent part of motorcycle riding, and I revived as a return rider in the late 40s. I could say that motorcycles are my daily transportation. I usually go out for a ride just for a change of pace.
Motive for purchase and use
I bought it new in April 2017 as a new model and the mask was the latest ninja and the price didn't go up that much, so I bought it new in April 2017. At that time, the green was sold out. There was one black one in stock and the next shipment was not yet available.
Satisfaction and Strengths
For applications
The weight of the motorcycle is 235kg and it drives steadily at high speed. The fuel tank is also 19 liters, so it can be used for long-distance touring without worry.
For riding
This is a motorcycle that can be used as a tourer but can also be used as a sport motorcycle. There's also electronic control intervention, so I can drive the motorcycle safely when cornering and exiting corners. For a heavy body, it feels light to ride. Pillion riding is no problem!
For appearance
It looks and looks like a cowling armed body with a thick exhaust system that looks like a ginkgo leaf. It sounds like the exhaust nodes are thicker than they should be, too.
Dissatisfaction and Weaknesses
For applications
It's heady and heavy, so handling and moving the motorcycle around at low speeds is heavy! That's what it looks like. If you add a pannier case to this, it doubles the width even more.
For riding
I don't know if the same can be said for Kawasaki in general, but the upshift feeling is heavy. It doesn't go in with a crunch, it goes in with a clunk. It seems to require a final push in. I'm finding that this seems to be a result of the engine speed affecting the shifting. Once you get used to it, this is what you get used to. That it's a way to get in that you can trust the shift feel. But if you don't get used to it, it becomes frustrating.
For appearance
It's a large touring motorcycle with a large touring cowl, so if you try to jostle it, everything will be expensive.
Summary
It's a tank 19L high-octane version, but it's quite fun to tour from mid-range and sporting. It has up handlebars as well as a clip-on handlebar for an easy riding position. This little bit of ease will help ease the fatigue of touring.
It has a 19-liter tank, so it will travel about 20km/L when it goes long touring, which means that the cruising distance without refueling will be about 350km. I've actually found that refueling less often is mentally and physically easier.
Thank you, Enta, for a narrative that shows so much love on your Ninja 1000!
