Kawasaki Estrella Owner Review
Introducing Enoc's passionate story about his riding experience with his beloved motorcycle, Estrella, from Webike Community's "My Beloved Moto" campaign.
Enoc told us about his review of the Estrella, including its advantages and disadvantages, which he knows well because he's the owner.
Brief self-introduction
Motorcycle history
Ten years
How to enjoy your motorcycle on a regular basis
Daily commute. Occasional touring. I use it by the commute of 20 km one way. On the way home from work, I refresh myself by riding on the mountain road that I do not know sometimes.
How long have you been riding this motorcycle?
Three years
Motive for purchase
I love cruisers and retro motorcycles, so I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get an SR or a Revell, but I loved the color more than anything else. I have never regretted my decision. I had a hard time buying it because of the shortage of stock due to the Kumamoto earthquake.
Satisfaction and Strengths
For applications
It is a nice motorcycle to ride because I often ride on country roads. It is also good to handle.
For riding
The ride is great. It rides like a leisurely flow, the vibration is really comfortable. Even knocking is comfortable.
For appearance
I've had a lot of people come up to me and say, "That's a nice color". Honestly, I'm so happy that I'm on top of my game. Candy crimson red that sounds good.
Dissatisfaction and Weaknesses
For applications
The initial speed is slow. Slow anyway. Starting from the traffic light in the city, I am busy messing around with gear operation. When it is the head of the convoy, I blow the opening blowing to avoid being agitated, but I have to blow every time even if I know it is bad for the motorcycle.
For riding
It's only available up to 5th gear. The vibration is too strong when the speed exceeds 80km/h. I warned myself that any more speed would be a danger signal, but even 80km/h is close to full throttle, so I would like a little more room to accelerate.
For appearance
Nope. Perfect. I like it.
Personal complaints
It can be said to be a vehicle that is very visually oriented, and although we always want to keep it clean, cleaning the spokes is a hassle. It's easy to skip it and get dirty. The blinkers are plastic plated so they rust easily. There is far too little loading. Even the in-vehicle tools are so small that once you take them out, they cannot be stored again.
Summary
It may feel good to speed, but in terms of enjoyment of the ride, I think it is the most comfortable motorcycle in the world. Even if it is slow, it can accelerate much faster than a car. It is the moment when I can say "It was good to choose" really when it is flowing smoothly through the mountain road.
There are plenty of faster motorcycles out there for a lot less money, but I highly recommend it for those who find enjoyment in a motorcycle that isn't about speed. It has good foot grounding and is easy to handle. The weight may be a bit heavy for a mid-sized motorcycle, but thanks to this, I've been able to refine the lie-tech so that I don't have to push it as much as possible. Fuel economy is well over 30km per liter. It is easy to handle even for a beginner, and the ride quality is not tired at all in almost four years. Not a single regret in the purchase!
Thank you, Enoc, for a narrative that conveys so much love for your beloved Estrella!
