Kawasaki W800 Owner Review

Introducing the passionate story from "Farmer" who rides the W800, from Webike Community's "My Beloved Moto" campaign.

He shares his reviews of the W800, including the advantage and the disadvantage, which he understands well because he is the owner.

Brief self-introduction

At the time, I was in the midst of the three no movement among high school students, and I obtained my license by going from moped to small to medium to lifting the limitation (I failed).

I bought a Cygnus X as a return rider from DAX, XL250S, KH250, GSX400R, Z400GP, and then I wanted a manual transmission and replaced it with a Monkey. After I got my license, I bought the W800 Final Edition.

The Monkey is a foot replacement and the W800 is touring to the fullest.

Satisfactions

I don't use the W800 for commuting or footwork, but mainly for touring, and the best thing is to feel the pulse of the two-cylinder while riding down the road. It may be said to be inefficient, but it is 800cc, and it is enough for the need. My favorite part is when I'm riding in higher gears on the gentle climbs of a slightly chilly, empty mountain pass. I'm really glad I have the W800.

I'm in love with its looks as well as its drive. Air-cooled vertical twin with deep fins. Plenty of chrome. 2 shocks. Natural riding position. Great gas mileage. The shop's original W3 style paint job is my favorite part of the motorcycle.

It should be noted that the tandem seat is flat, so luggage can be stowed in a stable manner while touring, and it has a hook.

Dissatisfaction

The only complaint I have is that it rusts easily because it uses a lot of metal instead of resin on the exterior. If left unchecked, the back of the front and rear fenders will become a mess. The rust is dealt with whenever it is found. It is also one of the fun things to do when you think of it as maintenance. Then there's the lack of tire options.

Summary

It's light in weight and easy to position, so it's a good choice for return riders or those who say it's their first big motorcycle. My best recommendation is still touring, in my opinion. I've been thinking about it and I'm already itching to go touring.

Thank you, Farmer, for a narrative that shows so much love for the W800!
