Six months
Motive for purchase
To participate in workshops and SRTT
I have an '08 Hayabusa as my wife, but after 30 years of riding on my own, I felt that I needed to relearn how to be a safe, fast and mature rider! So I started attending SRTT. At first, I welcomed a KTM390DUKE as my second motorcycle, but after experiencing that it was not reliable enough, I chose a GSR as I knew that a Suzuki is a Suzuki. Now I love it as much as my wifey.
Satisfaction
For applications
It is very easy to handle.
For riding
It is very straightforward.
For appearance
The best design for extreme driving.
I got a used OHLINS and YOSHIMURA for customization. They are standard and reliable. The OHLINS is a pearl for me, but even though I don't know the difference, I can feel the improvement in ride quality. The purpose of the YOSHIMURA is to reduce weight. It's a slip-on, so it's only 2kg lighter and slimmer than normal. However, the stock sound is good. The YOSHIMURA's absolute volume is reduced and the bass sound is pleasant, but I can't give up the humming sound of the stock.
Dissatisfaction
For applications
I'd like to see more low-speed huffing. My body is used to the Hayabusa, and I feel like I need more low-speed torque. However, it seems that my skills are not yet up to that level, so I would like to increase the low-speed acceleration by reducing the F-sprocket by one when I get better.
For riding
I miss the brake configuration.
However, I changed the brake master to FRANDO and changed the pads to CARBON LORRAINE. I wish I could use ZCOO, but there is no setting for it. This is a big complaint. Now I'm planning to replace the front brake hoses with mesh ones, and I've heard that there are special ones for ABS.
For appearance
None in particular
Summary
I bought this motorcycle for a course or riding school, and I dare say it is the best companion for touring. It is easy to maneuver, and in this day and age where 2 and 3 cylinders are so nice, there is no touring item that can beat the stability and quietness of a 4 cylinder. Fuel economy is also ridiculously good. It is a regular specification nowadays.
But as a training machine, my skills have yet to catch up. The motorcycle is very easy to handle and the handling is very straightforward, and I feel that the 750 displacement is just right in every way. I think it's about time to get a good used one. It's a real bargain!
I think it's typical of Suzuki's unique motorcycles that were not well received when they were new, but are actually good motorcycles! I recommend it as a well-balanced and very good motorcycle.
Thank you, Ban, for a narrative that shows so much love for the GSR750!
