With proven performance
While motoGP is the highest category of road racing, where riders compete on machines developed specifically for racing, SBK (Superbike World Championship) is the top category of road racing based on production motorcycles. For a while, there were no Japanese riders participating in the championship, but from 2019, they will start competing again, and in 2021, this year's All-Japan champion Nozane will be participating in the championship, which has become a hot topic.
Kawasaki's ZX-10R (ZX-10RR) and rider Jonathan Rea have won this SBK for six consecutive years since 2015. Aside from Jonathan Rea's consistent riding, the ZX-10R also underwent a series of model changes as manufacturers introduced new models every year. During this period, the ZX-10R became too strong and the regulations were revised.
Well, this ZX-10R doesn't look like it's changed much on the outside since the 2016 model change, but the engine and electronic controls have evolved even further. Engine power has been increased to 203 horsepower, and the standard model now features a quickshifter for both upshifting and downshifting. The suspension continues to feature Brembo radial mount calipers and Showa high performance suspension, making it a high performance vehicle even in its production state. What makes it even more special is that it comes in the same KRT (Kawasaki Racing Team) colors as the ZX-10R ridden by Jonathan Rea this year. This alone is enough to make you feel like Jonathan Rea, lol.
Apparently there's a new ZX-10R coming in 2021, but it's got a very different design, so if you like the current ZX-10R design, you should check it out!
