Suzuki GSX-S750 Owner Review

Introducing a passionate story of "Oboro-san" who rides GSX-S750, from Webike Community's "My Beloved Moto" campaign.

He shared his review of the GSX-S750 including the advantage and the disadvantage, which he understands well because he is the owner.

Brief self-introduction

Motorcycle history and how I usually enjoy my motorcycle.
When I was a college student, I got a motorcycle license and then continued to get a regular motorcycle license. Ten years later, I obtained a large motorcycle license. I commuted and toured until I lived on my own. Now I only do touring.

How long have you been riding this motorcycle?
From June 2020

Motive for purchase
When I was considering changing motorcycles because I was getting bored with my last motorcycle and it was time for a yearly inspection and tire change. I found a nice used motorcycle and immediately quoted & bought it. The previous owner had a lot of equipment in place, so I was able to keep my customization costs down.

Satisfaction

For applications
The comfortable riding position makes it possible to ride for a long time.

For riding
The engine turns well and sounds good. The acceleration is perfect. I haven't cranked it up to high rpm yet, but there are no weird vibrations when riding normally, so my hands don't seem to get numb or anything. It has a low-RPM assist. If you're aware of it, you can certainly see a slight increase in RPMs. Don't be overconfident though. It is equipped with a traction controller. So far, I'm trying out a lot of things from OFF~3.

For appearance
I like the shape of the tank. It might not be popular with people who wear tank bags. Beautiful blue. The current one is bluer overall, but I prefer the blue-black two-tone for me. The front forks are currently black as well, but I think the gold color fits better.

Dissatisfaction

For applications
My feet are hot when I knee-grip. Especially my right foot. The motorcycles I've ridden have never been that hot. I didn't see that as a complaint in other people's reviews, but is that normal? Was it hard for the motorcycle to get hot in the past?

For riding
Maybe I'm still getting used to it, but the seat doesn't feel right. Maybe it's because my previous motorcycle was a clip-on handlebars, but I feel uncomfortable with the handlebars. I guess I got used to it. I thought it sounded good, and when I was revving the engine, I was quickly going over the legal speed limit. But is it better than a liter motorcycle?

For appearance
I wish the lamps were LED. The blinkers and other things make it look cheap. Well, it's actually cheaper than other companies.

Summary

I heard that the 750 is not popular because you can buy a GSX-S1000 for a small difference. However, I didn't think about the S1000 at all because I would not be able to handle a liter motorcycle even if I had one. A middle-class 750 that can ride the engine reasonably well and is easy to ride is just right for me.

Thank you, Oboro, for a narrative that shows so much love for the GSX-S750!
