Honda ADV150 Review
I will introduce "Owner Review Summary", a collection of reviews based on the voices of owners who have actually ridden various motorcycles from the Webike Community's My Bike. In this article, I will bring you the real voices of the owners about the ADV150.
This is what the ADV150 is!
The ADV150 was released this year with the concept of city adventure. With the rugged looks reminiscent of its big brother X-ADV, and the good nature of the engine and frame based on PCX150, it became so popular that the orders exceeded the annual sales plan right after its release. It has the style of the adventure model that can be said to be popular in recent years, the size that is easy to use in any place, and it is an all-mighty machine that can be ridden on the highway when it is necessary.
Many owners choose it for its style, which is unlike any other scooter, and for its high leisure factor, which allows it to be ridden on forest roads. As it is based on the PCX, it has very good fuel economy, riding at about 50km/L even on downhill roads. The rear brake is a disc brake, which is not available on the PCX, and the braking force has been improved.
Because it's one of the most satisfying motorcycles, the price is one or two of the highest in its class. If you pay a little more, you can buy 250cc, so it can be said that it is a little high-class scooter as a second motorcycle. It is possible to ride on the expressway, but because the displacement is only 150cc, 100km/I've heard that it feels tight in h-cruise. Still, it's one motorcycle the buyer is generally happy with!

Mr. Copo
Purpose of purchase, purpose of use, comparative models | It is stylish and cool. I thought I could live with my main purpose of commuting and my hobby. |
---|---|
Strengths/Satisfactory points | The chassis is light but surprisingly straight and resistant to disturbance, with excellent absorption, especially in the front suspension. (I wonder if the tires are good?). The fat bar position is great! Easy to hold down in the corners and chic. After all, it's easy to get there using the expressway. Graceful design! Although it is small, it will satisfy your sense of ownership. |
Weaknesses and complaints | Isn't the position of this blinker SW more puzzling than the rider who has been riding a motorcycle for many years? I tend to lag behind in operation and can't sound the horn in a hurry. (I still can't get used to it) Maybe until I hit it? I thought so, but the front brake doesn't work as well as I thought. (Have you gotten used to it now after 3000km? It seems to be working well.) The outside air temperature is displayed about 2 to 5°C higher. The center stand is low for the height of the motorcycle, and if you bank it quick, the center stand will ground out quickly. Does that mean I should ride smart? |
Advice to prospective buyers. | The 125cc size is perfect for shopping, commuting, etc. The light weight and high fuel efficiency of the 125cc size makes it ideal for short rides, and since the 150cc size is a light motorcycle that can be used on any road (highways, motorways, etc.), short trips are no problem at all. If you feel tired, you can ride on the highway without hesitation, right? In addition, the Ikkipment is functional and has a class-leading luxury feel, and with the addition of the top case, the motorcycle can be enjoyed as a travel motorcycle, not just a scooter. |
Mr. Sunny
Purpose of purchase, purpose of use, comparative models | I was looking for a small motorcycle to replace my Lead 125 and I was looking for a small motorcycle that can be ridden only road such as bypass, so I was confused with PCX150, but I decided this one because I like outdoor. |
---|---|
Strengths/Satisfactory points | Adventurous looks, ride height that allows you to drive in the woods, load capacity with rear box, fuel economy around 50 when you care about how you drive, not a lot of motorcycles in August 2020, lots of custom parts, keyless makes it a lot easier, and |
Weaknesses and complaints | The engine bower, not much different from the lead 125, 4 horsepower should be different, but why? The handlebar is too wide for a scooter, and the fuel consumption on the highway is less than 40km/h when riding at about 100km/h. The optional security alarm is a pain in the ass. It takes a minute to turn off the engine. |
Advice to prospective buyers. | If you've had a Honda 125, don't expect too much engine bower. Just a little more power! The fuel consumption on the way down is good, but the fuel consumption on the highway is bad. I rode it from Tokyo to Shizuoka. Metropolitan Expressway→Yokohama New Road→Route 1→Route 134→Seisho Bypass→Hakone New Road→Route 1 You can drive from Metropolitan Expressway to Hakone-Shindo without any trouble. However, I feel it is hard to drive uphill on Hakone New Road. It didn't accelerate more than 60km/h at the place where there is a lane to go uphill. The corner is not habitual and easy to turn. |
Mr. Tsubaki
Purpose of purchase, purpose of use, comparative models | I want to ride it around town, take the kids to school, camping, and for many other purposes. |
---|---|
Strengths/Satisfactory points | Longer stroke suspension and block pattern tires. And the body is easy to handle. The center of gravity is low because it is a scooter base. The independent front and rear brakes are also good for a scooter. You can lock the rear optionally. Fuel consumption is about 45km per liter even if it is mainly used for city driving and miscellaneous driving. |
Weaknesses and complaints | Not many aftermarket parts available yet. (2020/as of 8) I want the parking brake. If anything, the price is higher than rival motorcycles (although I'm satisfied) |
Advice to prospective buyers. | It's just a fun motorcycle! This is a motorcycle that can be ridden from city riding to touring camping without being so uptight. I felt the joy of riding after a long time! |
