New 3-cylinder engine and more powerful electronic controls

The Tracer 9 GT, fully redesigned for the 2021 model year, is already in stores!

The Tracer 9 GT was first introduced in 2015 under the name MT-09 Tracer as a derivative of Yamaha's three-cylinder street model, the MT-09. This model has an upright position and is equipped with a screen and handguards to protect against the riding wind, making it more comfortable for touring, but the engine it's equipped with is the powerful MT-09 itself. The MT-09's powerful engine is the same as that of the MT-09, making it one of the most popular tourers on the market.

The engine evolved along with the MT-09 model change

In 2018, along with the model change, the model name was changed to "Tracer 900". Along with changes to the specifications, a higher grade, the GT, was also made available. "The Tracer 900 GT features cruise control, which is essential for a tourer model, TFT LCD gauges, heated grips, and a special suspension for improved touring performance.

While retaining the traditional impression, the face has become even more intense.

The Tracer 9 GT is the third model change for the company. Along with the face that became more badass, the engine is newly designed and up to 888cc. The electronic control system is now equipped with a 6-axis sensor (IMU), allowing for more precise control. To top it all off, KYB's electronically controlled suspension was adopted for the first time, automatically adjusting the damping force to instantly respond to various road conditions.

Since the new Tracer 9 GT has just been released, many stores are selling it on order, but YSP Toyokawa in Aichi Prefecture has it in stock! If you want to be the first to get your hands on the latest sports tourer, now is the time to grab one!
