5th Suzuki GS1200SS
Webike Motorcycle Selection List Price: -
Released in 2001. There is no other exterior design that makes you say, Wow! It has a stronger impact than the R1200GS Adventure. The GS1000R was a naked GS1000 that was tuned and converted into a racer by Mr. Hideo Yoshimura (the founder of Yoshimura). The styling is not as sophisticated as the SS, but the strong manly smell is more than the Panigale. It's not quite the same as the SS. But it is a style that reminds me of ASMR.

4th place Ducati 1199Panigale
Webike Motorcycle Selection List Price: -
Launched in 2012. The chassis design has changed from this Panigale. Abandoning the truss frame of the Ducati, the 1199 adopts a monocoque design. The engine is also used as part of the frame, and when the cowl is removed, the frame looks like it's gone. That's the impression you get. However, thanks to this, the sleek Italian cowl design was refined, contributing to its success. On the other hand, the engine was a typical Ducati V-twin, two 600cc steel mushrooms that moved up and down so hard that each explosion sounded like a powerful boom. To put it bluntly, it's a jerk. But that's Ducati.

3rd Ducati PANIGALE V4 S
Webike Motorcycle Selection List Price: 2,178,000 - 3,472,000 yen
2018 Appearance. Simply put, it would be a MotoGP replica. Both the engine and the frame have broken away from the previous Panigale, making it a "super" motorcycle. First of all, the frame, the front part is aluminum alloy to improve the rigidity. The engine is a V-type four-cylinder as the name suggests, and it is the best power of the production type that generates the maximum 214ps while reminding of the MotoGP machine. Incidentally, the name of this engine is "Desmosedici Stradale", which translates to "Desmodromic 16 valve, for public roads". The V4S is Ducati's finest, so I won't go into a detailed explanation. It's like a two-wheeled version of the Enzo Ferrari. It is a beautiful and excruciating specification that is typical of superbike Italy.

Seat height | 830 mm |
Approximately 100% of riders in the 166-170cm height range said that the PANIGALE V4 S has a "toe-in" footing.
2nd place Ducati 1098
Webike Motorcycle Selection List Price: 877,800 - ¥877,800
Launched in 2007. It was the first model in Ducati's superbike series to exceed 1000cc. The basic design was a truss frame with a V-twin engine, typical of a Ducati. The cowl, however, underwent a major transformation: instead of the vertical two-eye design of the previous 999, it now featured two horizontal eyes. This was a hit that showed just how important styling was to the SS. Many cowl-equipped motorcycles become dated over time, and even more so in terms of their appearance, but the Ducati SS never gets old. This is proof of how functional the design is without being wasteful.

No.1 Suzuki GSX-R1100
Webike Motorcycle Selection List Price: 548,000 - 1,650,000 yen
Released in 1986. The GSX-R1100 was built to be the world's fastest. While modern SSs are designed to be compact in order to concentrate mass, the GSX-R1100 was designed outside the framework of racing rules. Of course, racer technology has been applied, but it has a "non-standard" atmosphere. 265km/When you consider that this was in 1986, it's amazing. This gene was passed on to the later Hayabusa.

Summary
Supersport is a motorcycle directly related to motorsports, such as the Superbike Championship. Since these races are based on production motorcycles, the displacement is determined by race regulations. Currently, the maximum displacement for SBK is 1000cc for a four-cylinder motorcycle and 1200cc for a two-cylinder motorcycle. However, some of the latest models in this ranking fall outside of those regulations. And they are all peculiar motorcycles. But that's what we call a supersport. It's important to have a motorcycle that's easy to ride. But on the other hand, there must be many riders who find pleasure in twisting a jerky horse around. The fact that it's outside the regulations is a sign that the developers are genuinely pursuing maximum performance. Wouldn't you like to ride such a dream machine?
