This is Miya from Webike staff who is starting to be attracted to the convenience and functionality of system helmets. What brands do you think of when you hear the word "system helmet"? There are various brands such as SHOEI, LS2, ZENITH, etc. Among them, OGK KABUTO has developed various series of system helmets such as IBUKI, KAZAMI, and RYUKI. So, I'm going to give you the reviews of the new system helmet "RYUKI" created by OGK KABUTO. I am used to be a fan of OGK KABUTO until a while ago, I thoroughly investigated the new system helmet.
First, a quick refresher on OGK KABUTO!
Safety Meets Style Original products with safety performance and style.
The concept of OGK KABUTO is to create original products that combine safety performance and style. I analyzed a variety of data by conducting drop impact tests and actual driving tests. In addition, I respond to the needs of users with designs and styles that change with the times, and I have developed a wide range of products from professional specifications to a series of products for children. With its original ideas, OGK KABUTO always has both "safety" and "style" in mind, and it's well-liked by everyone.
This is RYUKI!

I looked at the characteristics of RYUKI.
System helmets that cost 30,000 yen are very attractive, but if they don't function well, you won't be able to buy them, right? The following is a brief introduction to the functions of the RYUKI.
UV & IR cut shield
I'm not sure if that's true. Teijin's high-performance polycarbonate is used as the material for the shield. This material has succeeded in significantly reducing UV (ultraviolet rays) and IR (infrared rays). In addition, this "UV & IR cut shield" suppresses temperature rise caused by solar heat and reduces heat conduction to the inside of the helmet while maintaining clear vision, which is the most important function of a helmet.
Larger Breath Guard
It is larger than a conventional breath guard, which increases the efficiency of ventilation performance. The air exchange is done frequently to prevent the shield from being fogged up by your breath. It also reduces the gap between the sunshade and the inner sunshade to reduce the brightness of your vision and provide perfect support when riding.
With inner sunshade
The inner sunshade with smoked lenses reduces glare in the morning and evening when the sun is shining strong, and during strong sunshine. This is a great feature for riders who spend most of their day riding or who ride to work or school in the morning.
Wake stabilizer
Wake-Stabilizer is Kabuto's patented system to reduce the load by controlling airflow near the cap body during riding. It controls turbulence generated during riding by stabilizer attached on side of the helmet for stability and smooth pivoting while riding straight.
Cheek pads for glasses
OGK KABUTO is known for this feature! The "Cheek Pad for Eyeglasses". There is a slit in the part where the frame of the glasses goes through, so you don't have to force the frame into the gap, and you don't have to worry about getting a headache from the pressure. Other manufacturers are also increasing the number of products that are compatible with glasses, but sometimes they need to devise a way to shave off part of the pad. On the other hand, most OGK KABUTO helmets have slits as standard, so I can recommend them to eyeglass users!
I've actually used it!
You'll never know how well it works until you try it! So I used it to commute to work. The hat I borrowed this time is a size L. I'm usually a fan of SHOEI X-Fourteen XL size. I usually use a SHOEI X-Fourteen XL size helmet, so I was not sure if I could wear it, but when I tried to wear it with the helmet flipped up, it fit easily. When I wore the Jet Helmet, I could spread the cheek area so it is very easy to wear, but when I took down the flip-up, the cheek area and side of my head were tightened and I felt some pressure. However, I didn't feel uncomfortable at all because it was not so much painful as it was moderately compressed.
In addition, the combination of the larger breath guard and sun visor allowed me to concentrate on riding without worrying about the sunshine during the day. As for the weight, although numerically the X-Fourteen is lighter than the X-Fourteen I usually use, I had the impression that it was lighter than the conventional full face, perhaps because the center of gravity has been devised. The chin guard to prevent wind penetration is comfortable without worrying about getting cold around the neck because it completely shuts out wind penetration when used in combination with a neck warmer. Some people say that the wind noise is very loud due to the structure of the system helmet, but the wind noise starts to occur after 50km/h. However, I felt this system does not interfere with enjoying talking and music with the intercom. I was not able to use it on the highway, so I did not understand the wind noise at high-speed driving.
RYUKI is perfect for a system helmet debut!
I've just given you a quick explanation and reviews but isn't RYUKI pretty amazing The system helmet that I wore this time was very light, and the weight was comparable to the X-Fourteen that I usually use. There were a few things that bothered me, such as the wind noise, but even with that, I felt that it was a very good deal considering that you can get a system helmet for 30,000 yen. Also, many of the OGK KABUTO helmets are relatively light, so they're good for women too!
