GALE SPEED's lightest ever forged aluminum wheel!
If you're considering it, then buy it!
First of all, the speed of response to the new model was fast. Currently, there are only a few lightweight wheels available for the CBR1000RR-R. It was probably GALE SPEED or ADVANTAGE. Since the ADVANTAGE is a magnesium wheel, GALE SPEED is the only choice for aluminum. MARCHESINI will be coming out next year, but I think they said they were developing a wheel for the SC82, so we can expect them to come out next year, but I'm not sure when. There are several other manufacturers, but none of them will be available until next year. The reason why I chose GALE SPEED this time was because of the SB-1 wheel's claim of being lighter than a mag. To be honest, I like the mark M7RS in terms of design, and if it had been available, I would have had a hard time choosing it. However, I am a lightweight freak, and light is the best. At present, I am proud to say that this is one of the lightest RR-Rs for city riding.
And these SB-1 wheels did not disappoint me! They are amateur lightweight, but they are 700cfd lighter front and rear than the Marchesini M7RS for SC77. By changing the front and rear, the push and pull felt much lighter. Although there are individual and personal differences in this area, it is a natural result in a sense because the rotating parts are lighter. Also, the fact that the product is made in Japan gives me a sense of security in terms of after-sales service. This is probably the biggest difference from other manufacturers.
Moreover, if you take good care of it, they will replace the hubs (at a cost) even if you change your model. The price is also great, considering that Gail's is about 20% cheaper. The design is also much better looking in person than in the pictures.
The only request I have is for an air valve. The valve itself has a good reputation, but the one that comes with it is an I-type valve. Since the stock wheel itself uses the L-type, I would like to see the same one attached. The I-type would not be able to be filled at most gas stations. If the goal is to get people to buy the product, I think they should have included the L type from the beginning since the difference is negligible. One disappointment is that the SB-1 wheels do not come in many color choices. I would have liked to have been able to choose the color of my choice like the other grades. Other than that, I'm satisfied with the product.

Point: Lightest forged aluminum wheels in GALE SPEED history!
I never thought that someone would customize the newly released RR-R to this extent. I wonder if there are any RR-Rs on the road that is this light. I'd love to see it when it's finished. I'm looking forward to it!
