Newly designed cooling system
The most important feature of the SHUMA is the newly design "Ultra Cooling System".
It is based on the wind tunnel experiment and CFD analysis which OGK has cultivated for a long time. The direction of the helmet when riding a motorcycle is calculated, and the ventilation part is laid out so that the wind passing through may enter at the optimum amount from that angle.
The result is an excellent system that allows you to feel the wind even at low speeds.
In addition, it seems that ventilation is not the only factor in penetrating coolness.
The interior of the helmet has a mesh shape like a melon pan, which is calculated to make a path for the wind to spread efficiently throughout the helmet.

Designed for intercom installation
The intercom has now become a necessity for touring. SHUMA's intercoms have been designed to keep up with the times.
Exclusive mounting space is provided on both sides to accommodate the intercom's mounting brackets.
The specification also includes an exclusive speaker hole as well as a cable guide for the speaker. Where the wires would normally be routed through the back of the interior, the SHUMA can be routed along the edge of the helmet. This makes it possible to install the intercom in a smart way without messing up the wiring.

Shield cuts ultraviolet and infrared rays
This is a UV & IR cut shield developed in collaboration with TEIJIN, a company famous for "DAKE JA NAI TEIJIN". This shield blocks 99% of ultraviolet rays and 74% of infrared rays (IR), thus reducing the rise in skin surface temperature caused by solar heat. This shield also reduces the temperature inside the helmet. Of course, it is also possible to install a PINLOCK sheet to prevent fogging.
The famous "spectacle slit" and "wake stabilizer"
This is a familiar feature of OGK. It has a slit which is great for spectacle users. The patented Wake Stabilizer controls turbulence and keeps the cap from shaking in the wind.

It is much smarter than the wiring which passes through the interior (around the back of the head) because the wiring is processed along the edge of the helmet. There are also claws on the edge of the helmet to allow the wires to pass between them.
Just follow the cable guides and put the interior back on and it looks wireless. The depth of the speaker hole is perfect and the fit is perfect. And it won't hurt your ears.
This is cool! The helmet you can feel even with a slight breeze.
The rumored SHUMA was indeed cool. The ventilation at the mouth and the center of the head is where I felt the most wind. The amount of wind on the face and head is incredible, and it's so open that it's hard to believe you're wearing a full face.
What amazes me is that when I'm stopped at a traffic light and there's a good amount of wind blowing, I can feel it coming inside my helmet. Also, if you look carefully, you can see the other side of the mouth through the ventilation holes.
Well, that's cool. As the "coolest helmet in OGK history", it shows how committed it is.

In the end, on a scale of 'yes' to 'no', I'd say 'yes'. I would personally recommend it to a wide range of riders, regardless of motorcycle type.
The functionality is perfect and the edgy design will look great on any motorcycle. The solid type is priced at 26,000 yen (excluding tax), which is very reasonable.
