At the Webike Plus meeting held at Twin Ring Motegi on July 4th, MORIWAKI ENGINEERING already unveiled the slip-on silencer for the GB350/S. The MEGAPHONE exhaust system is a perfect match for the GB's ultra-long stroke single engine that produces rich torque from low rpm.
At first glance, the short exhaust system looks like STD form, giving it a light look.
The "Slip-on Silencer SHORT MEGAPHONE" displayed by MORIWAKI has a natural silhouette that blends in with the style of the GB350, yet it is distinctly shorter. Also, the silencer end has a decorative pressed finish that subtly shows off the custom look. The heat guard also creates a wild look. Since the GB350 is a traditional big single model, it looks even more austere when equipped with this product.
This exhaust system is still a prototype and is in the black version. It is a Japanese government-certified product that uses stainless steel for the pipe and silencer, and will be priced at 63,800 yen. The product is scheduled to release in late September 2021, and pre-orders are currently being accepted.
It is quite smaller compared to the STD silencer of the GB350/S. While maintaining the punchy sound of a single-cylinder engine, the explosive noise that causes sound fatigue has been reduced.
The exhaust port is large, but not too loud. MORIWAKI's unique noise silencing unit was specially developed to match the newly developed engine of the GB350/S.
GB350 with fin cover! This is a surprisingly good match.
Another product that was installed on the freshly debuted GB350 was the crankcase covers and oil filter covers on both sides of the engine. It's anodized black to match the black engine, and a design with fins engraved into the surface. As you can see in the photo, the fin pitch is close to the fin of the GB350 air-cooled engine, and it matches well.
Normally, fin covers have a "naughty" image, but this crankcase cover, which gives the GB350 a retro look without compromising the GB350's image, also protects the engine from scratches. These parts are not only for dress-up, but also for its functionality.
It is installed with a large crankcase cover and a small oil filter cover. Both are priced at 13,750 yen.
The left side also matches as shown. For the pivot part, frame hole plugs (6050 yen for a set of two) are also installed.
