''Bobber Style'' Popular in the States
PIAGGIO will be releasing Moto Guzzi's new model ''V9 BOBBER'' in July.
V9 is a new model that purely embodies the Moto Guzzi spirit. To modernize the Bobber style, it features short seat, mud guard and fat tires.

For your information, ''Bobber'' is a cruiser category that is popular in the states. They feature simple dirt tracker appearances. The body is slim and compact and is popular for its convenience for short city rides. Usually they are finished with dark and matte austere colors.
Traditional Design and Improved Performance
The vehicle is mounted with traditional Moto Guzzi Air-cooling Transverse 90 degree V-shape 2 Cylinder OHV2 Valve engine with 853cc enhanced capacity. It offers improved engine performance with 55ps maximum output 7ps larger compared to 748cc current V7 series models. Maximum torque has also improved 2Nm.
The body is mounted with steel double cradle frame, upright front fork and rear twin shock following traditional style but also with 30mm extended wheel base and 780mm lower seat to offer a rather long & low style. Together with raised handle, the vehicle has a comfortable riding position.
130mm Front Tires and 150mm Rear Tires are standardly mounted to the high profile 16 inch wheels. By mounting small wheels with fat tires, the vehicle has succeeded in achieving both impact and Bobber style. We should be looking forward to see its handling characteristics.
Steel mud guard and tank are decorated with fresh graphic check designs which subtly add modern taste and sports spirit to the classical features of the vehicle. Also similar to the V7 series, it is standardly equipped with electronic controls like ABS and traction control which are installed to improve safety performance and worth being noted.

''Moto Guzzi Media Platform/MG-MP'' can be used for V9 Bobber and all Moto Guzzi models released in Japan. It will allow the rider to maintain and utilize various information dealing with the vehicle via the rider's smartphone using Bluetooth.
Moto Guzzi's New Challenge to Offer a Cruiser Model
Moto Guzzi has released a luxurious cruiser named ''California 1400 Custom'' in the past. But this new V9 Bobber Style, will spread options of easy to use cruiser models that can be enjoyed with light heart. I'm sure the V9 series will be expanding.
It is interesting whom it will catch the hearts of and how it will differentiate from the neo-classic line achieved with the V7 series. Moto Guzzi's challenges are worth looking forward to.
