Limited to 765 Units, Price is Around 21,000 USD

The new DAYTONA Moto2 765 limited edition of TRIUMPH has been finally announced. It is the birth of the street model closest to the Moto2 machine, which is officially approved by Dorna Sports that hosts MotoGP.

The DAYTONA Moto2 765, a limited-edition with a serial number, will be allotted 765 units to the U.S. and Canada, and 765 other units to Europe, Asia and other regions. The release date will be scheduled on February 2020. The price is around 21,000 USD.

The overall image of the new DAYTONA would be as expected in the previous topic. In other words, the engine for the Moto2 was installed in the chassis based on the DAYTONA 675, and the undercarriage and electronic control were updated.

Equipped With a New Gearbox on an Engine That Generates 130ps

The engine is an updated version derived from Moto2 generating the maximum output of 130ps / 12,250rpm and the maximum torque of 80Nm / 9,750rpm from a liquid-cooled inline 3-cylinder 765cc with a titanium valve, a reinforced piston, a new camshaft, and a new connecting rod. Although its max power is slightly lower than 133ps, announced as the prototype for the Moto2 development in 2018 (the final race specification is said to be over 140ps), however, it can be considered for a margin considering its durability as a machine for the public road.

Considering that the final edition of the previous DAYTONA 675 was 128ps / 12,500rpm in maximum output and 74Nm / 11,900rpm in maximum torque, the new engine with a 90cc expansion still has potential.

The new gearbox with gear ratio optimized for the race and the ARROW titanium race exhaust system inspired by the Moto2 machine are also worth noting.

Real Circuit Spec. Undercarriage

The undercarriage has also been renewed from the previous DAYTONA. The BREMBO Stylema of the top end brake system and the MCS radial brake master cylinder which is adjustable lever stroke and the ratio have also been adopted. Tires are also equipped with Diablo Super Corsa SP of PIRELLI latest tires. The front and rear suspension made by OHLINS (NIX30 Φ43mm inverted front forks & TTX36 rear shock), which has a proven track record in Moto2, and the lightest 5-spoke aluminum cast wheel in its class are equipped standardly. The racing style exterior adopted a single seat is fully made of carbon fiber, and it would be as light as possible. The DAYTONA Moto2 765 can be said to be a full-fledged circuit model that can be put into the race as it is.

The Safety of Advanced Electronic Devices also Evolved.

The Electronic Control System also evolved at once. A new full-color TFT display with a launch screen and a lap timer for the Moto2 and TRIUMPH co-brand is adopted. In addition to the 5 riding modes (Rain, Road, Rider, Sports, Track), various settings such as the Traction Control and ABS are designed to be operated with the joystick at hand. Such as a quick shifter (corresponding to shifting up and down) which is a necessity for the circuit riding is also equipped standardly, the latest electronic devices, used in the new Speed Triple, has been incorporated.

The Moto2 prototype, tested ride last year, had no electronic devices equipped including the Traction Control and ABS, but in that sense, it has a large developmental mark in terms of safety and ease of handling as "the Moto2 machine that can ride on streets”. The model was finished meeting the expectations of a wide range of street riders while being the main target that is the circuit use.

The price will exceed more than 2 million USD, but it has more than enough value considering the real Moto2 engine, created by collaboration with the first Moto2 brand, and the full-carbon exterior with the best spec undercarriage and the latest electronic device. It seems better to make an action earlier if you are interested because it is a limited model.
