I would like to introduce you to some of the custom motorcycles that were submitted to the Webike Community's "MOTO HACK Custom Motorcycle Contest" campaign!
Here is the custom motorcycle of Toshi who rides an RZV500R!
Motorcycle and self-introduction
[Self introduction]
I'm an old man who puts everything into my motorcycle. I guess I like motorcycles that tugged at my heartstrings in my youth. I'd love to drive a new one, but I probably won't own one.

[Motorcycles]
The first time I recognized this motorcycle was in a Young Machine feature I saw when I was a middle child. Even the RZ50 of that time could go almost 100km, but 500CC!
I thought, "Who buys such a monster of a motorcycle, is it God or something?
But when you actually ride it, it's a good motorcycle that can be used normally from low rpm, even though it's a two-stopper, and the sound is good, too, with the low rpm's coming at you in all directions, and the higher rpm's coming, the more that sound comes together in one piece.
Some people mistakenly think it's a very fast motorcycle, but it's certainly one of the fastest, but it's not even close to a 600SS, let alone a liter SS. It can easily leave a liter naked motorcycle behind in a straight line. But that's not important, it's just a very fun motorcycle to ride, that's for sure.
Customs Commitment
The image shows a full OEM motorcycle (only the chamber is external).
[Directionality]
Of course the emphasis is on riding, but I will also build it with ease of use in mind. The OEM brakes are totally quack brakes, so of course they are reinforced.
[Points that I think are cool]
There is no doubt that it is cool in its original state (depending on the individual).
I made it even more to my liking. With this motorcycle's size, it's probably justified to put bigger tires on it (depending on the individual).
[Points of change in performance]
- Brakes
I installed a Brembo radial-pump, calipers, and Sunstar rotors. But the control and stopping power are completely different.
The normal brakes have a good touch, but they slip upwards and braking → doesn't work. It suddenly locked up!
- Undercarriage
I replaced the front and rear OHLINS, but it went from normal to cat-legged, which was a slap in the face. The rigidity is also increased! When I had normal suspension, I almost jumped a couple of times in the mountains.
- Chamber
As a result of installing an all stainless steel chamber made by Jim Lomas, the power output is remarkably improved. This does not mean that it is difficult to ride at low speeds, and it can be used for touring.
- AS UOTANI Coil
I put it in to strengthen the ignition system and it worked well enough that I could clearly feel the throbbing of the engine. It is used in conjunction with NGK's power cord.
Custom Points
- At the front
I think this area cost me the most time and money. In any case, I almost got stuck in the money-making phase of the decision-making process. I remember when I was convinced that I could go when the XJR1200 stem was attached to it.
ZCOO brake pads: Ceramic Sintered

SUNSTAR: Custom made front disc rotors
Brembo: Brake Caliper P4 30/34 40mm black
OHLINS: XJR1200 upright front fork BK model
GALE SPEED: TYPE-R Aluminum Forged Wheels [Glass Coating] Front
I don't have any other pictures, but the OHLINS rear shocks of Bimota SB6 were also added with minor modifications.
- At the rear
This area is almost as if it was designed to be pimped out. The people who have been working on RZV customization are great. I didn't expect to see a stock swingarm with Ducati wheels and supports, and a chain line. The tire size has also been greatly expanded from 130 to 180. The tire size has been increased from 130 to 180, so it's not as big as the upper side.

245mm rear disc rotors for Ducati 900SS
SUNSTAR: Custom made front disc rotors
Brembo: Rear Brake Calipers, Old P2 32 84mm, Black
GALE SPEED: Aluminum Forged Wheels [TYPE-R] Glass Coating Rear
DID: ER series chain 520ERV3 gold
GALE SPEED: Gale Speed Sprocket
- Engines, electrical equipment, etc.
It was difficult to find the right place to put it because of the narrow space, but I did my best while getting my hands all scratched up. I think it was difficult to replace the reed valve without removing the cylinder. (I removed it.)
NGK: Power cables (plug cords)
AS Uotani: SPII general-purpose high power coils
SUNSTAR: Front Sprocket
KEYSTER: Banked Carburetor Fuel Control Kit
DAYTONA: Turbo filter seat
TOSI-TEC: Single Plastic Reed Valve & Stopper KIT
Taiwan Yamaha: Regulators for the Majesty 125
- Chamber & Seat
I ripped it off from Jim Lomas, or rather Wolf, who later made it a carbon silencer. The seat has a dimpled, low-bouncing seat that is nice and gentle on your butt without sliding.

Seats: Dimpled, comfort, back stopper dimples and carbon patterns
- Stem circumference (some of the photos are old and not included)
It's the first place you'll see it, so it's not only easy to see, but it's also hard to leave out in many ways.

Customization that I want to do in the future
I'd like to weld a stabilizer to the swing arm. The rigidity is still fine, but it's all about looks. Other than that, if the current cowl wears out, I would consider a new design. If you win the lottery or something, bore up.
