MOTO HACK: Stay Warm Even After Getting Off the Motorcycle, Focusing on Warmth and Breathability

How to

I would like to introduce you to some of the warm equipment that was submitted to the Webike community's "MOTO HACK! Warm Equipment Contest" campaign!

Introducing the warm equipment of Chiritaro, who is riding Honda Super Cub 50.

Motorcycle and self-introduction

[Brief self-introduction]
Cub owner for 8 years. In the winter I change to winter tyres and enjoy it.

Attention to warm equipment

[Directionality]
I dress in a way that not only keeps me warm but also prevents sweat chill, referring to layering for mountaineering.

[The point where you feel warm.]
By using the right materials and the right order to wear them, you can get maximum warmth, and even when you get off the motorcycle and move around, they absorb sweat reasonably well, so you won't be uncomfortable.

Products

1. icebreaker
Item Name: 260 Tech Long Sleeve Crew

For the base layer that touched my skin, I wore a 100% merino wool shirt. It's comfortable to the touch and the thicker material you choose will keep the heat in.

However, if you sweat or move your body actively even in winter, we recommend changing the material to synthetic fiber because merino wool cannot fully absorb sweat.

2. MOUNTAIN EQUIPMENT
Item Name: CONCORDIA JACKET

For the middle layer, I chose fleece for breathability. If you don't ever get off the motorcycle, an inner down is better suited to keep you warm than a fleece.

There was a tag of Polartec, which is famous for fleece material. This fabric is soft to the touch, quick-drying, light, and warm.

3. HYOD
Item Name: ST-W NEO-iD D3O

Finally, the outer layer. The outer jacket will be a motorcycle jacket that has protectors and prevents flapping due to running wind.

4. ROUGE & ROAD
Item Name: Multi Neck Gaiter

5. RS Taichi
Item Name: RSU232 windproof inner jacket

I wear a neck gaiter and a windproof inner jacket over a fleece to adjust for temperature changes. Both are easy to carry because the fabric is thin.

This is a garment that is both warm and breathable, but the downside is that a lot of money flies out the window just because things are good.

Warm equipment that I'm aiming for in the future

The lower half of my body is also three layers, but I'm going to upgrade because I still feel cold.
