The Astro, Arai's top touring helmet, has undergone a model change to the latest version, the GX. For the first time, the newly developed "Front Logo Duct," in which the familiar "Arai" mark on the front of the head serves as a ventilation system, has been adopted for greatly improved comfort.

Conventional front ducts often function better in the forward-leaning position, but this new duct balances well in the up-handle position. Mouse shutters and spoilers also have a new shape that is designed for touring models and allows the wind to pass through. Other safety features such as the round shape and snell standard to fend off shocks are still intact, but the new interior is easier to take off and put on, and the intercom is easier to install, making it the most comfortable model in the history of the series.

The front logo duct provides more comfortable ventilation than ever before in the upright position on up-handle vehicles.
Of course, the PB-clc2 cap with a super fiber belt that is 30% stronger and six times more cost-effective than regular fiberglass, and the combination of a proprietary multi-stage foamed, integrally molded liner, ensure that the same attention to safety is paid to fending off impact.
It has also passed the Snell standard penetration resistance test.

The new Astro offers more comfort and functionality than ever before, which is required for a touring model with many upright positions.
